None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with ME! Rorschach - not a mage.
Mar 14th 2011 11:42PM "I'm a dry, sarcastic, slightly morbid sort with a strange bit of humor that doesn't convey all too well.." - give up that day job as a boomkin writer and stay with us, 'cause that's all warlock, my brother. Look into your heart, you know it to be true.
Mar 10th 2011 4:53PM @Haimdall - best playerbase, eh? Them's big words. "Huntard" is a big word too. Personally, I find it to be a demeaning and rather thoughtless word, but the breadth of its recognition would certainly make me nervous about making a claim like yours. That being said, I'll admit that I'm shelving my lock main - started leveling a dwarf hunter last weekend. I'm pretty tired of being the nerf-bitch and wanna play one of the blessed of Blizz for a change. So far, the sense of freedom in being able to run around and shoot has been amazing - couldn't believe how it felt to tag a mob, run from it, and just pop into the air, spin, and have autoshot nail the thing.
Mar 1st 2011 11:23AM Sure - check before you change, though. I know, I know, nobody like stateofdps. I remain open to suggestions for better datasources. It has your caster "bread vendor" at number 2 though - and of course, among your other specs you can tank, and heal, and have melee dps as well. Do you have any of that bread for me?

Mar 1st 2011 10:03AM No, I'm thinking not this time. We're dps "pures" whose dps (for at least 2 of our specs) lags behind hybrids like spriests, boomkins, and dk's. Buffs were more or less inevitable - they might've been avoidable if there was a huge and thriving population of warlocks, but that is not the case. Granted, the buffs we're getting aren't big changes, and they've been careful about giving much to destro - they clearly don't want us on top, but I guess that at least they don't want aff so far down the list as they currently are. Yay.
Feb 25th 2011 11:01AM Oh, wasn't serious - I wouldn't worry too much about that actually happening. I think the last big buff we got was "reduced mana cost to channel soulwell" or something like that half-way through wrath.
Feb 25th 2011 9:48AM Interesting. We've seen pallies, warriors, druids, shaman, hunters, mages, priests, and rogues pop up in the commentary. Even DK's are there, though there are as many comments against as for. So, who's missing....? Here's a hint - same guys who didn't appear at all in yesterday's patch notes, whose column is seen only rarely and which doesn't seem to be able to keep an author for more than a couple of months at a stretch, who are one of the least-played classes in the game and whose trainers are mostly hidden in basements. Hey, maybe they should give warlocks in-game invisibility too...
Feb 24th 2011 5:24PM Yeah, now I run out in a single fight if there's no adds to kill. So much better.
Feb 24th 2011 12:31PM Warlocks have been nerfed so often that not even being mentioned (though the new soul shard mechanic sucketh mightily, and verily doth it need an overhaul) is actually the same thing as a buff. So yay.
