Aug 25th 2011 11:42PM I've recently quit the game due to the tanking issue. What baffles me is that we have two more specs so ready to tank they have been repeatedly nerfed - BM Hunters and the Lock's BlueBerry (aka VoidWalker - TWO different areas here affliction drain tanking or straight up demo lock BlueBerry with health funnel).
What I cant help feeling as well is that Wow Devs wont confront what I see is the real issue - tanking is more and more of a fps or rts type activity - actions per second matter, situation matters, movement matters. It's all too much for a rpg.

Apr 7th 2010 7:03PM I wonder how sl/sl (soul link/siphon life) builds will be impacted. I love that play style its really nice to dot you up and watch you melt whist I suck my vw's life out and top it off with your own.
Feb 27th 2010 5:17PM Oddly I see a bright side to arcane empowerment change. Using mana gems, gift of the wild, potions, mp5, replenishment etc it means soloing is MUCH better and you can still pull off some nice spell power enhancements in a group setting until you run out of mana to power the shield so now thats a more bursty change.
I forsee some refinements to this method in raids and possibly pvp since the focus is now on buffing your health, and keeping your mana flowing to power your shield.

The fishes level cooking
Easy enough, silly!
Jan 14th 2010 3:24PM Oddly I've never ever seen this behavior. IF I saw it, I would view it as griefing and report it as such; I enjoy annoying folk that would enjoy such shenanigans. Im really sorry they are board with the game. Really. hopefully they will leave the game and never return. ever.
Jan 6th 2010 2:26PM From my perspective the reason this is not working is that no serious effort went ot to letting folks know about it. Until I read the article I had not heard about it. To get all 20000 folks they want, I would think allot more publicity is needed. Perhaps an in game announcement at login or via wow-mail
Dec 30th 2009 3:07PM I was level ~lvl 20 on my toon for the "zombie event". I was questing as horde in the ghostlands when it started. It did wreck the game for me. All of a sudden I would die and before I could figure out I was a zombie I was dead AGAIN. No explanations provided just, so sorry you were having fun you will now play a new game. Then it was over just as I was figuring out what I was expected to do int his new game -- at least I manged to figure out how to become infected near enough to the alliance starter zones to address the issue. Then it was over.
I prefer a slow lead up to change, and some degree of what this "game experience" will be before it's thrust on me in the middle of the game experience I paid for. Had Blizzard said before or at the start of the event, "for the week of Halloween WoW will change --- new rules for a week, then it's back to normal please goto worldofwarcraft.com/so-you-are-a-zombie to learn about this exciting new Halloween treat" the change would have been received in a more favorable light. Addingly there plague barrels did show up a few days before hand but it was too subtle for a new user to notice.
That is in essence what is happening now. Your screen shakes, marketing buzz occurs. Folks go a searching a reason but the game experience has not changed. The user soon learns about cataclym and is thus alerted to a possible game change in way that is more gentile.
