Mists of Pandaria Beta: Watch the Alliance intro to Pandaria {WoW}

Mar 30th 2012 4:51PM Wow! Good thing there was a Quest-giver there!

The Queue: I need to read more {WoW}

Mar 28th 2012 4:51PM [Thinking Box] Perhaps the "problem" that the Tank-Healer-DPS (THD) model is just worn out. How much real discovery or problem solving is now in the game? My favorite part of Cataclysm was the revamp of many of the zones. Dungeons? Raids? /yawn. [whack-a-mole][heal-a-mole][dps-dps-dps][repeat as necessary]. /yawn

3 reasons for casual players to be excited about Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2012 4:35PM Well, I have to agree with you. Then again, I am so "casual" that I don't and won't bother reading anything about MoP until it actually comes out. (Supporting two kids in college, etc. is my "main game". :) ) Reading any or all the "previews" would just ruin it for me. Still, to each his or her own. Enjoy. (And, woot!, they, aforementioned "kids" will be Seniors this Fall. Amazing.)

The Queue: Panda wasteland {WoW}

Mar 16th 2012 3:03PM Read what?

10 death knights kill heroic Ragnaros {WoW}

Mar 14th 2012 4:36PM ^^ THIS. Agreed. Dungeons, too, if logic could prevail. It ought to be possible with 10 Mages, for pete's sake. (I wrote that sentence just to see if the Universe would allow it...)

The Queue: Everything is better with a ukulele {WoW}

Mar 6th 2012 4:41PM Q4daQ: In 4 years of playing WoW, I have never figured out where there are "weapons vendors" everywhere, repeat "EVERYWHERE" of all types but never (or epically rarely) ever sell anything worth buying and using. If they were the only ones repairing stuff, that might make sense. (There used to be the occasional weapons trainers co-located with them, but even they are gone now.) Maybe they are part of SI:7 and Shaw's bunch. Or maybe they are like the "The Weapon Shops of Isher" (written by A E Van Vogt ). o.0?

The Queue: I would not hire Tails {WoW}

Feb 27th 2012 4:45PM In 2010, I moved back home to VA from Germany. As the other replies note, you should not expect many problems playing WoW abroad. The only issue might be your ISP. If you are staying in one hotel, you can "rent" an ISP connection by daily, weekly, or monthly rates. (And those rates are NOT, repeat, NOT cheap.) The longer the contract, the lower the "daily" rate. It can be as high as 20 euros per day for a daily connection, so much less for a monthly connection. (Don't remember so won't guess.) Every hotel in Europe probably now a WIFI-for-pay connection. (Nothing is free in Europe. lol) If you are traveling a lot, I have no idea. has Maybe others do. Have fun. London is my second favorite city in the world. My third favorite is Rome (or any other city in Italy.) (Home is always my favorite.)

Worgen druids at the end of Cataclysm {WoW}

Feb 14th 2012 4:40PM Well, I loved playing my Worgen Druids. The starting zone is very well done. I love playing a Druid, especially the Druids flight form, but eventually, I got very tired of looking like a frog when I run. /sigh. So, no more Worgen for me til that silliness gets fixed.

How to kill a healer {WoW}

Feb 10th 2012 4:47PM Which reminds me: I saw a great guild name a few days ago: "". Sorta reminds me of the dyslexic agnostic who didn't believe in a dog. (ba-dump-ching!)

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Let's get everyone tanking {WoW}

Jan 29th 2012 8:37AM Let's think, just for fun, about the idea of "no tanking necessary". That's the game I want. Lots more possibilities. Instead of tank's taunt, taunt, bam, bam, taunt, taunt, move, move, bam, bam, taunt, bam, move. (As opposed to the dps bam, bam, bam, lol) This is why I am getting bored with WoW. Been there. Taunted. Moved. Bammed. Repeated. Only thing that changes is the quests, I guess. Which is why I like questing now. /sigh. Whatever. Enjoy whatever you think is fun.
