Jan 6th 2012 7:38PM Well, you obviously have never been REQUIRED to use a trackball because of wrist problems and the like. Having been in that situation, but fortunately not now, I really do prefer trackballs. Wireless Trackballs rule! My wife also uses a trackball to play WoW and is quite good. Trackballs are just not the choice of the world. They are not usually cheap AND good, unlike most mice. So, your attitude is limiting your exposure to some potential sweet stuff this time. Happy New Year to you and all!
Dec 18th 2011 11:02AM "Remember: your enemies have pointy implements and you are wearing a dress." Why, oh WHY, does my toon have to wear a "dress"?!!! Ugh. Worse, there are only FEET under the dress. On the plus side, I need not worry about the state of my under-garments as there does not seem to be any "under" under there. (Unless I take off the dress, in which case, the "under" returns. :/ ??)
(Thanks for the article, btw. Exactly the stuff I need to know leveling my new, really fun, mage. I have always been melee. Less stuff to step in with the ranged toon, so far. Happy Holidays!)
Nov 23rd 2011 5:03PM Horde: Go out the north gate of Orgrimmar, and veer left-ish to Ashzara's Forlorn Ridge. Only way up to the top is by flying, I think. The weird thing there, I just noticed this in the picture so checked it just now "in person" (in toon?), is that the water in the pool rides up along with the end of the pool at both ends. So, the water is always ~toenail deep on my Tauren. (Which would be kneedeep on a goblin and perhaps waistdeep on a gnome. lol) Even on the 45 degree angle at either end of the pool.
Alliance: no idea how you get there. ride or fly east from Hyjal or Ashenvale or south from Winterspring.
Nov 19th 2011 7:58AM One suggestion to fix this noob situtation is to have someway for people to LEARN what to do somehow ingame. Otherwise, the only way to learn is in the raid. Otherwise, it's just a "catch 22" situation, which people don't pay to play.
Oct 29th 2011 9:27PM Piercing Howl doesn't seem to be of much help in Bosses in any instance. So...I must be missing something. What am I missing and where am I missing it? lol When is PH good? (Other than in shampoo...) All I ever see when I used PH was "Immune". (To the tune of "That doesn't not computee, Will Robinson.")
Oct 7th 2011 5:33PM Another Q for de Q: What, in WoW;s name, is Mystery Meat? It's just creepy. SPAM, maybe?
Jul 2nd 2011 8:24AM My son got me into WoW. I figured, by my playing WoW, we would have something to talk about together. Now, I gotta ask him how to do stuff. lol
Say, the talent links in the Mage Newbie columns are all broken. Am I doing something wrong or what?
Mar 14th 2011 6:16PM /Wow Dev, with face aghast
"I don't frikkin believe it! (Turns and Yells to room of WoW Devs) Nix the "splinter in paw" plans! We've been compromised!"
/Room full of WoW Devs' weeping sounds.
Feb 24th 2011 6:47PM Interesting. I have never been kicked and rarely (relatively) am in a group that kicks someone for any reason other than a "d/c". Perhaps I am extremely lucky. I doubt it but it's possible. I do wonder why.
The other day there were a bunch of comments about the "astronomical" odds of re-grouping with someone in a PUG. I recently had one group where a jerk tank wiped our group on purpose for no reason I could see and then left. Our PUG finished nicely when we got our next tank. In the very next PUG, I got el jerko as a tank AGAIN. I told the group what he had done and left the group. Only the second time that I ever left a WoW PUG on my own recognizance. (so to speak, lol)
Happy Rift Headstart day! :)
Feb 23rd 2011 8:51AM Now that there is a Feral Druid writer on your staff, perhaps title of "Shifting Perspectives" should take off the "cat, bear" text portion of its introduction. Thank you very much. Cheers.
