Feb 6th 2009 8:30AM "Exorcism – this spell now causes damage to all types of enemy targets... "
It seems everyone is satisfied with this. I am not. Exorcism should be a spell that can only affect evil creatures (undead, demons, wicked spirits, you name it).
But it makes _no_sense_at_all_ that you can cast an exorcism on a fire spider, a normal human or a plainstrider!!!
Gotta love how balancing around high-end PvE gets to destroy a game coherence tbh.

Why? AoC adult-only content proved how useless the +18 years old barrier is.
Servers for +30 years old ? Give. I would miss a few ppl in the twenties that are really mature. Unfortunately they seem to be vastly outnumbered by the just over 18 whose hormones doesnt allow them to talk about sex without talking nonsense...
Jan 15th 2009 4:35AM People asking PvPers to be patient are just funny. Mind you, we were waiting for one month after WotLK hit the shelves without any PvP gear avalaible at all.
By that time, PvErs were running around with mostly 10-man Nax/badges epics complemented with lvl 80 blues from heroics. We faced them with laughable 78 PvP crafted blues.
Now S5 comes and we have to wait yet another season (or two!) to be able to use PvP gear for….(surprise)….PvP! Are you aware a season is 3-4 months long? So are you guys seriously suggesting waiting 4 months and a half since WotLK to be able to PvP with PvP gear?
I’m freezing my account until PvP is somewhere close to the same level than PvE and until I can PvP in competitive BGs (guild rating, personal rating or whatever). Yes, I know I will come back to WoW. Until then, some months that Blizz wont get my money.
Jan 12th 2009 4:31AM I am extremely surprised some people are asking here to respect those guys at the Timothy Group. Sorry, but I dont have to respect who dont respect others. And they dont.
Amongst other things I could criticze about their rating system, I will focus on one: considering homosexuality as something that can be rated as bad is a direct insult to 10% of the human population (gays and lesbians).
In my country (Spain) gay/lesbian sex and marriage is totally legal and widely accepted by society, even when we are considered catholics (which we arent, only a minority are nowadays).
Therefore, considering homosexuality as something that gives "bad points" in their scale would be illegal here and this Timothy Group could be taken to the court of justice for that. Should I respect law-breakers?
Dont ask for respect if you cant show any.
Jan 12th 2009 3:26AM I couldnt welcome this change more. People say that CC brings strategy to the game but I disagree. It could be the case, but with the amount of CC out there + addons for everything, it actually destroyed any strategy.
I dropped playing Arena when reaching 2050 rating in 5v5 my pally was chain-CCed all the time. I remember most games I played like 15 secs (trinket gave me 3 secs break + 12 secs bubble while stunning the priest), the rest of the games was a succesion of fear, silence, sheep, silence again, blind, cyclone, silence once more, stun...all of them chained because ppl used addons that popped a BIG "pally's sheep is breaking, plz use one of the 54396 other CC you have avalaible" in their screen".
There was only one strategy out there: CC healer + healling debuff => kill.
It was not funny at all. CC needed a nerf and silence needed DR. Finally Blizz got it. Too bad I dont play my healer anymore.
Dec 26th 2008 8:09AM Seriously guys, you are taking it too far with the "PvE Carebears" stuff. Granted there is some tard PvPers that think they are the center of the world, etc. that call you that, but for most of PvPers like me, PvE carebear is not intended as an insult, but more as a label.
I play both in a PvP server and guild with one character and in a RP-PvE server with another. My friends from the latter call me "PvP freak", "Elitist" and stuff like that and I never took it as an insult...same they dont take it as an insult when I call them "carebears" :)
You might have been insulted by some tard PvPer by calling you "Carebear", buy that doesnt make it an insult. The problem there is not the words that tard is using, but him being a tard...
And Zach isnt. He just wrote a nice article to introduce hardcore PvErs into the Honor system. And also into the PvP slang, where hardcore PvErs are not called that, but "PvE Carebears".
And I didnt read anywhere him saying PvErs are less skilled than PvPers. True many PvPers think that, but Zach didnt say it and you have no right to put those words in his mouth ^^
Dec 26th 2008 7:18AM I have always been a keyboard turner and still I dont see that much of a problem with that, even for a hardcore PvPer like me. Tried mouse-moving and macroing, but I just didnt like it.
Now, before the "nOOb, L2P" stuff, I must say that I have been part (as officer, BG leader, raid leader, class leader and whatnot) of the best PvP guild in our server (EU-The Maelstrom) and it took 3 years for my guildmates to find out I was a keyboard turner+clicker.
And they didnt figure it out by themselves. One day the conversation came by on vent and I told them. They wouldnt believe it until my IRL friend and fellow guildie confirmed it.
Keyboard turning has its limitations (as mouse moving btw), just work around them with strafing and smart moves, like cutting your enemy's line of movement instead of just following his movements.
Clicking has almost no limitations in a game with a 1,5 sec GCD. Just keybind basic stuff (1-5 for party members, closest target, last target and jump :)
Arena is the only place in which the difference between one system and the other is barely noticeable. Still I reached +2k rating in S1 as keyboard turner + clicker, before I got tired of that e-sport with no tactical objectives and no faction confrontation.
