Apr 17th 2009 7:09AM It's got nothing to do with jealousy. It's fact. Deus Vox historically lands all worthwhile US firsts (usually with a raid of only 22-23). Laughing Skull was not even playable until Thursday and they are still only a few bosses away from clearing.
Apr 17th 2009 12:20AM This is only because Laughing Skull has been too unstable for Deus Vox to get any serious raiding in. The hard mode achievements reveal more than easy mode world firsts.
Apr 5th 2009 7:47PM No, hit rating is 100% for sure not needed.
I do this every week flawlessly as disc with zero hit.
However, any resistance buffs you have can cause the MC to break. So dispell shadow resist, any auras and mark of the wild.
Also make sure you don't bring the mob out of range or LOS. Those are very common things that cause MC to break.
Apr 1st 2009 10:34AM They didn't say sub was doing too much damage, they said there was a bug causing certain abilities too that was undiscovered when they did their DPS balancing.
There were other rogue bugs that blizz balanced around and then fixed the bugs without compensation, and that's why rogue DPS is as low as it is now.
Jan 28th 2009 3:31PM No. Over 99 hit the only things you miss would potentially be poisons and melee attacks. The hit cap is nice, but don't sacrifice other stats to obtain it which is what this guide is trying to get you to do.
Jan 28th 2009 3:04PM You don't play a rogue, I'm going to assume. The cap he is talking about is the poison cap which is nice to have but you should NOT gear specifically for it. You are not missing "crit after crit", and if you do miss a few poisons the stats you gain by not tunnel vision focusing on hit will more than make up for it.
Expertise however is normally beneficial to be gemmed or geared for because of the reliance of mutilate on Cut to the Chase.
And if anyone needs that hit trinket with the spellpower proc over a caster, I hope a hunter takes Calamitys Grasp from you.
Jan 28th 2009 12:31PM Chase, if you are gemming or gearing specifically for hit you are doing it wrong. Hit is nice as a side stat, but gear for overall DPS, not for hit. Your guide points people in the wrong direction. Just like the article where you tried to make the Fleshshaper sound good for rogue PVE, you're just out of touch with the rogue community.
Jan 28th 2009 11:52AM This guide is 100% false. You should NOT be aiming for that much hit rating.
