WoW Moviewatch: 9 Times by Brunhila {WoW}

Sep 27th 2011 12:26PM Brunhila is in my guild,and it sucks how melee is setup for raiding now. It doesn't help that some fights hurt you if you have too many melee. I'm looking at you majordomo! Anyway we all love her vids and being "Actors" in them.

That intro voice is really our raid leader giving one of his speeches when we have to shuffle the roster for the night. Also love the ending with her daughters lol. We

The Light and How to Swing It: Tackling AoE paladin heals {WoW}

Feb 21st 2011 1:31AM There is one AOE you are forgetting - Guardian of Ancient Kings. This when used with Divine Light only can heal for upwards of 700k on the raid. It is especially powerful on stack fights like Chimeron.

LoD does heal for more than a single WoG through the beacon for those who think otherwise. Remember it heals pets as well as players. A fully loaded LoD transfer via beacn still outheals a single WoG on average. The problem with LoD is if they remove beacon transfer it becomes a useless 31 pt talent unless they rework a bunch of stuff around it to compensate.

Love is in the Air event plagued by bugs {WoW}

Feb 6th 2011 11:37PM I was referring not to the lunar festival thing or the magni/cairne thing. As I said that was an oversight. It has nothing to do with "balls." Considering how much changed little things like this are bound to happen. The other things, which are actual bugs are what I was referring to. Might want to read what I said. These changes kick in with the date, the only way to test that is to change the date. Depending on how the system is setup that might not be easily, or fully, possible without massive work. And if they didn't touch that area of the code odds are they'd not have tested it.

Feb 6th 2011 8:05PM Date based events are hard to properly test. They may not be able to really push the clock to test interactions. That said the lunar festival/park thing was purely oversight. This one may be more related to the fact they could not fully test date related changes.

I've done date related testing and while you do find stuff it's never the same as when the clock really rolls over.

The Light and How to Swing It: Beacon of Light best practices {WoW}

Jun 27th 2010 2:23PM Beacon swapping is important in certain situations though not all. It really comes down to the fight. A fight like BQ it doesn't pay to beacon swap. A fight like Saurfang I will beacon swap since mana is not an issue in that fight since I am meleeing anyway. Also remember the Beacon with it's 60 yard range is great for healing someone on the other side of the room in some cases like in the blood princes and the ranged tank in normal mode.

I'd say your raid comp and size also affects how you use it. In a 10 man it makes more sense to beacon the MT or OT and just heal the other/raid. In a 25 man it is trickier.

A lot of raid frame add ons like Healbot, Grid, and the like will show the buff on your target on their bar as well. I use that in most fights alone.
