Looks like a standard dell keyboard to me.
In response to the actual topic, my guild knows each other quite well IRL, we've spent quite a bit of time getting to know one another. In some ways, I assumed they were all going to be nerdy kids, but most of us are 20-somethings with relatively normal jobs, lives, and girlfriends.
Nov 7th 2009 12:08PM Torchlight. Got a level 16 alchemist and loving it. Dual wield wands is ridiculous fun, pow pow pow.
Aug 6th 2009 12:29AM We did XT-002 last night as part of our regular raids. Usually we'd do Heartbreaker, but with the waves of adds, normal mode was almost as difficult as the hard mode! I feel sorry for the guilds who aren't quite geared enough to be doing hard modes who would have found it almost impossible to deal with that many bombs.
Jul 21st 2009 8:05PM They said a humanoid form, not *be* a humanoid. Trees are generally in the shape of humans, are bipedal, and can bash the floor with their foot shaped roots, meaning warstomp makes perfect sense. Cats and bears are quadrupedal and do not resemble humans. It is perfectly possible for something to be both humanoid looking and an elemental.
May 23rd 2009 11:34PM I'm guessing nobody that's saying "just upgrade the servers" has a clue what they're talking about: it's expensive and wasteful. Not just in terms of money, but in time, preperation and manpower. It's an easy looking solution to a complex problem, and I'm sure Blizzard are doing everything practically possible to remedy it. They've come a long way since vanilla WoW in terms of stability. The server I play on was once down for about an hour, at 2am, on a weekday. It looked like a pretty catastrophic failure, yet they managed to fix it relatively quickly at an obscure time. Instead of congratulating them on pretty much *excellent* customer service, people on the realm forums just bitched constantly that they should have done it sooner. This is what I'm seeing here with "give me wintergrasp or give me my money back", and similar comments.
Even with a few hiccups they're doing an excellent job. If it isn't worth it, stop paying your subscription, don't whinge and expect them to magic it better without you having to think too hard.
May 16th 2009 6:23PM Guild name:
Server: Saurfang EU
Raid/active time*: Varies.
Accomplishments: Cleared all 10 man content except Ulduar and 2/3 drakes. 25 content is patchy, but have done Naxx and Malygos.
Goals: Ulduar, both 10 and 25.
Who we are: We're one of the longest lasting and stable guilds on a very new European server. We're extremely social, and much more picky about the PERSON we recruit rather than how talented they are. We never force anyone to raid. We are essentially a group of friends that socialise through WoW.
What we're looking for: More people for Ulduar. Cornerstones of the community. If you're a very good player but never talk, we do NOT want you.
Contact: Obould ingame, or any of the other officers. You can apply on the website.
Apr 15th 2009 2:31PM I'm sorry, no.
Curse have got content which is being unfairly used. Their business model mainly focuses on hosting and supplying addons. Regardless of how clunky the curse client is, wowmatrix are basically stealing their product and profiting off it.
Let's take the analogy of a shop. The range of stock is fine enough, but the staff at the checkout are obtrusive and not particularly friendly. Another company decides to come in and set up different checkouts INSIDE THEIR STORE with friendlier staff, without paying to stock the shelves. They are selling the products inside the store and profiting from them without supporting them.
Even though from a consumer perspective it is a a pleasant experience to take the content from the first store and go to the different checkout, I don't think IN ANY SITUATION you can claim it is moral, right, or even a desirable outcome. Without support, Curse will go offline and nobody will have any addons.
Jan 26th 2009 11:12AM Gun'Drak's elder is in a bit only unlockable in Heroic mode, making this a level 80 only achievement.
There's also one after the gauntlet in Utgarde pinnacle too, meaning you can't mess about. Although we did it yesterday with two tanks and an retri pally on heals..
Dec 30th 2008 5:47AM I find also that Prot is the best for warriors at AOE threat/damage (shockwave, thunderclap), so if you're looking to clear large amounts of mobs quickly, you'll kick butt. I play prot atm and after playing arms for 70 or so levels, I find it FAR easier to level - downtime is seriously low.
Warriors&pally is a popular choice for 2v2 arena teams, so you're going to kick arse no matter what you choose. You may even consider joining BGs and sticking together if you get bored of grinding - PVP is a lot more fun if you've always got someone watching your back.
Dec 30th 2008 3:55AM Here here. This thread is quite heartwarming.
I'm on a relatively small guild on a new server ( on Blade's Edge EU), so most people who are in it have just started playing WoW this summer - me included. There's a very focused raiding community who wanted some easy Realm First achievements, but aside from that most guilds are pretty casual. I'm currently 79, about to hit 80, and I considered whether I should jump ship at 80 so I can see content. Most guilds have little experience of raiding, so we have more barriers in front of us than just gear.
But you know what, I'm gonna stick it out. I've levelled right from the low 20s on my first toon, and it's a great atmosphere. I remember first learning Maraudon and struggling with guildies terribly - very difficult to get PuGs (most people don't realise the place exists!) and people always seemed to leave as we progressed through the instance.
I've respecced to prot just to tank for this guild, and they really need decent tanks. And I've never done old content, so we're not in a hurry to clear new stuff. I think I'll take my time. Maybe solo some drop mounts from instances :)
