Dec 13th 2010 3:46PM @(cutaia) The info is at GuildOx. Here's a link:
Dec 13th 2010 2:22PM As a member of a meta-guild, the achievements seem to have brought our members closer together. We spent most of the weekend doing guild achievement runs. We enjoyed each others company and just had fun. It didn't seem to matter to anyone re: the nerf in guild xp, we were mostly in it for bragging rights. We are now #1 on the realm in #6 world-wide for guild achievements. The perks are nice, but most of us just want everyone to see how awesome the guild is :D
Dec 13th 2010 1:14PM I feel your pain. I am mostly in quest blues and greens, with 2 ICC purples still hanging in there. I've reforged as much as I can into hit, but I'm still hanging out in the middle of the meters. Going to switch to SV tonight and see if this helps any.
Thanks for the article Frost!
Nov 7th 2010 2:15PM Didn't get a beta invite this year either, and I echo the sentiments of someone posting earlier. I appreciate the overview given of the changes to come!
Nov 1st 2010 3:31PM Argh! Stuck at work too! But TeamViewer into my home PC FTW!
Oct 25th 2010 7:00PM First of all, you don't "break" ligaments, they tear. I've had all 3 replaced in my left knee. He'll be in that brace for about 6-8 weeks depending on his surgeon. It will take upwards of a year before he gets 100% mobility back in the knee, IF he does his physical therapy.
Best wishes to him though. Totally sucks about the knee.
Apr 15th 2010 2:58PM On the rare occasion a healer throws a heal my pets way, I always make a point of thanking them. Sometimes Mend Pet just isn't enough. :)
So...for all you healers out there reading this that have grouped with me, thank you! :)
Mar 10th 2010 6:32PM Fox's main was in our guild for a long time as an officer (his alts still are) and he is an awesome Spriest player. From a pure DPS standpoint, I love the article. Last night I was running my newly minted 80 through TOC with some friends (mostly new 80's as well) and can't tell you how many times I had to tell people to get out of the green crap. Even on my 80 DK who's been 80 for quite some time I still have to tell people to "don't stand in the fire...move out of the green crap." This may seem like common sense, but it's amazing how many times people don't make the effort to stay alive. Like he said, the healers are gods and dying early takes you out of the fight and hurts the rest of the team.
Mar 5th 2010 1:18PM Just to add fuel to the fire and pose another question. First, yes I read the article and understand the argument. Second, I played EQ for years before falling in love with Azeroth over Norath. EQ added a shop to buy in-game currency and it didn't kill the game there. It was way cheaper than the farmers were advertising...and from what I saw, the same people that bought from the farmers, just started buying from Sony. There was no great rush of people buying currency, and the economy didn't seem affected whatsoever. EQ failed because it sucked and the graphics and game play (ex: not losing XP when you die) of WoW (a much better product) coaxed players to change.
Blizz offering a product, doesn't mean people are miraculously going to have money to buy it. Yes, making it "legal" would mean there would be a few more people purchasing, but I'd be willing to be it wouldn't be this catastrophic economic failure all the doom sayers keep harping on. Beta and PTR servers are one thing, Live servers are a completely different animal. As far as Beta and PTR servers, Blizz could put a stop to that by putting a limit on the amount of gold someone could copy over, just like they do with realm transfers.
But in the meantime, I'll go back to farming Borean leather to fund my own bank. :)
