Dec 14th 2010 12:51PM I have to agree with this. The biggest thing I've had to learn as healer is to RELAX and not scramble if people aren't topped off. We have these huge health pools now so that Blizzard can create encounters with much more predictable damage, not just super crazy spike damage that threatens to kill people not above 80%. So relax, think a bit about who needs the healing, and carry on. Regardless with how well you do or don't pugs will at times blame you -don't let it get you down!
Jun 16th 2010 9:59PM I'm the a-hole who if I notice new glyph competitors I drop the entire market down to 3g a glyph making it a huge waste of time for people to sit and cancel repost for hours for marginal profits. I have the pockets and supplies to keep this up for weeks at an end. I hate the re-posting wars and simply don't have time for them so I'll accept minimal profits for being able to post for 48 hours at a time and not having to check every 20 minutes.
Regardless of what you may think of me, in terms of this article, this is something you need to keep in mind when attempting to enter the glyph market. Every server already has established sellers who have huge inventories of glyphs and supplies and the pockets to wage "wars" against other sellers. The glyph market is not a causal market to enter - it is very high maintenance depending on the competition on your server.
If it's your sort of thing - and it is for me- and you went to go head to head with other competitors go ahead! It can be a lot of fun - I would just offer a few suggestions:
-Firstly you are going to need to invest several thousands of gold to start up your business in order to build your inventory. IMO, you don't want to skimp here - you need a strong inventory because a)the sales of glyphs occur quite frequently and you always want to be ready to refresh b)long glyph crafting sessions are terribly and hideously boring - you want to minimize these sessions as too many and I guarantee you'll burn out.
-Secondly find the cheapest materials possible - whether you need to hire a farmer, spam trade looking for bulk deals, or keep an eye on the AH for good deals the cheaper your materials the higher profits you'll obtain as well as the lower your threshold can sell while still turning a profit.
- My third suggestion would be - the key to making big profits is maximizing the profitability of your snow fall inks. Cards (bleh), scrolls, offhands, or even just selling them makes all the difference in profit as these sales often cover the purchase of your materials therefore allowing your glyph sales to be 100% profit.
Anyways that's just my two copper - if you want to enter you are certainly allowed to - just make sure you do it 100% or you'll just waste your gold and time.

Sep 2nd 2009 10:29PM I guess with subscriptions beginning to plateau and dwindle this is the latest way the money hungry folks over in CA can steal more money from people...$30 for a service that requires a few clicks assuming its not an automated process on their end....even so....this and the upcoming race changes and associated fees just show the true colors of this whole company....just keep sucking money out of people addicted to the game....
May 3rd 2009 8:24PM So after finally admitting a while ago they completely messed up the retribution paladin and that they were going to work on them, they've decided to go ahead and shaft them completely and leave them in the boring, dreadfully useless state they are.
I began playing as Ret roughly a year and half before 3.0 launched and quite frankly I'm sick of the short end of the stick being enough for Blizzard to throw at us. We've been the laughing stock of this game and apparently will continue to be - minus that awesome weekend when 3.0 launched; 2 days in how many years?
I often wonder why I keep playing my paladin - but instead of fixing these issues Blizzard will go after I-Phone app developers with lawyers and money and make sure to ban players for doing what anyone would do when they are mailed a GM only item from well who..hmm oh a blizzard employee.
What happened to the company so many gamers flocked to and loved all those years ago....
Apr 16th 2009 12:28PM I wouldn't use the word preserve - save that for an actual accomplishment - not staying up super later past your bed time to play a video game.
Mar 24th 2009 4:24AM To be honest I would really like to see the damage to self removed from Seal of Blood/Martyr. It's such a frustrating mechanic especially with scaling DPS. Having most of the BiS items in the game I'm sick of a fights like Thadius or Maly where a single judgement crit takes out roughly half my health.
Throw in any fight that involves heavy raid damage - not only is the encounter damaging me but in order to achieve respectable DPS I have to damage myself as well.
I for one won't be happy until this outdated and useless mechanic is removed from the game. But then again it's not my game - we'll see what happens
Feb 24th 2009 1:10PM I was just thinking the same thing to myself. How does one combine 40 if we can only carry 30?
Jan 3rd 2009 5:24PM Not trying to troll, just saying for me I would have preferred if this was posted awhile ago.
