Mar 6th 2009 5:48PM This achievement should have been like "The dedicated few" (or something like that) all along... or at least remove it from the Glory of the Raider achievement and give it an appropriate reward.
There is no point in trying a near-impossible achievement that only the luckiest and most skillful players are able to attempt.
Feb 28th 2009 11:11PM Am I the only one confused about that change? I mean... I don't see the point in giving mount the ability to swim. I understand walking over small water spot where there's no dismounting and all, but giving them the ability to actually swim in the sea while you're on the back of one of them sounds like a pain in the ass for that poor little mount. = /
Was there that much whining from people dismounting in water that blizzard just said "Ah, fuck logic" and gave them what they wanted? Unless we go faster in water by being mounted, sounds like a weird idea to me.
Feb 17th 2009 7:28PM "Beneath ancient Ulduar, the Old God of death lies, whispering.... Tread carefully, or his prison will become your tomb. "
Actually, this little bit from the preview is interesting to say the least...
Why would yogg-saron be enprisoned in Ulduar. He's as large as northrend... maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think the titans would just enprison some of his maws... maybe his main body?
If ulduar is yogg's prison, then it is really him who is corrupting the nerubians. Is it really "a big chunk of him" who is under icecrown?
Perphaps it is just another old god "madness aura" that lead people into believing that it is one of his "brothers" who is corrupting them?
Or perphaps it is just me who is going mad because of them... xD
Feb 17th 2009 3:57PM The first set of boss encounters that will be tested include:
The iron council
The first set of boss encounters? So there's more than 4 bosses?
Feb 9th 2009 6:32PM From the sound of it, you people find what the guy did wrong cause its in an idealistic wall of text...
Feb 8th 2009 6:55PM @Cahlbraun
Pretty intelligent wall of text there, should be hard to demolish it...
I got no points to begin with? My first post was about WOWinsider being too blizzardish to be neutral about their news posts.
Now let's examine that wall further... cause yeah, I feel like an archeologist today.
-"But I'm willing to play fair, I'll respond you outright. A site that attempts to encourage players to use and abuse exploits and bugs in the game is just as bad as using Glider to play the game for you."
I think you meant that its just about the same thing as using Glider for playing.
Its not morally bad if its only blizzard and their idealistic fanclub that think this is.
"-If you wanted to make one of the unconsidered posts of any of the number of people that think that WoWInsider has any other purpose than to provide their own analysis of the happenings surrounding World of Warcraft and Blizzard generally.........
Now stop there, you're actually saying that they're not doing this? If so, then you must be pretty intelligent to tell me what they meant by saying.
"-This is a good thing for everyone that wants to have a more legitimate gameplay experience in WoW, as both of these sites actively encouraged people to exploit bugs, break the ToS, and do all other sorts of tom-foolery that destroyed the game for legitimate players.
Maybe morally good, but definately not neutral.
-" When you agree to the Terms of Service as you sign up for the game, you agree to abide by the rules set forth by Blizzard to keep the game as fair and balanced as possible. When you break the ToS, you're not "sticking it to the man", you aren't being brave, and you're definitely not winning the game; you are attempting to destroy it. We can play games like these when players agree to abide by the rules - anything else is just chaos, and ruins the enjoyment and play of the people who chose to participate fairly and lawfully."
Sorry, only thing I can came up looking at your closed-minded self. = )
"-When sites like WoWInsider denounce you publicly for doing so, you have absolutely no leg to stand on to call them biased whatsoever - unless you want to call them biased for fair play between all players. Calling them "biased" for doing so is tantamount to saying that you endorse the actions of the players who use these cheats, which is just as bad as using them yourself, and YOU WILL BE CALLED OUT. Consider yourself warned for future belittling."
Give me a FUCKING break man... You're saying that they can't exist cause they encourage hacks and bots and whatever else that may be against blizzard's brute-force?
Feb 8th 2009 5:14PM Bullshit.
Instead of trying to counter my comment you guys a trying to make me look like a fool by belittling me? Funny that you people thought that doing this was better then actually replying to my words...
Its no surprise that you people think that those two sites are encouraging exploits and cheating, apparently you have never been there, otherwise this news post would not have been posted.
Feb 8th 2009 4:38PM - "This is a good thing for everyone that wants to have a more legitimate gameplay experience in WoW, as both of these sites actively encouraged people to exploit bugs, break the ToS, and do all other sorts of tom-foolery that destroyed the game for legitimate players."
Oh, so instead of just reporting news, you're using your writter statue to encourage people to choose a side?
Jan 26th 2009 6:18PM "Blizzard wants to bring the player, and not the class"
You see, that's what is tearing the game apart right now. Not only did they dumbed down (yes, dumbed down) all the friggin raids and instance to that thought, but they outright refuse to go back to being fun...
They know they'll play their game even if everything is one-shottable, cause the game isn't about the content anymore, its about socialization. Why pay for a game that has "hello kitty"-grade content?
Jan 18th 2009 10:10PM Well, one thing we can all agree on is that we're gonna fight sindragosa in the citadel. :)
