The Care and Feeding of Warriors: The Luck Of The Drop {WoW}

Apr 30th 2009 4:58PM I lucked out on that and got it on my first run (first heroic ever FTW) but then again i've always been lucky with tanking weapon drops, got leeka's shield on the first CoS run, royal crest of lorderon on first heroic CoS run, slayer of the lifeless on first gothik down, broken promise on first heroic 4horse down, passed the last laugh to the paladin on that same raid.

My dps gear, on the otherhand is a pain to get.

Ulduar nerfed, more nerfs on the way {WoW}

If it's your "regular PuG" then it's not really much of a pug now is it? PuG's are supposed to be random and spontaneous, hence the Pick-up part of it. Sounds more like you're running with your friends or maybe even an interguild alliance than a "PuG".

Spiritual Guidance: Disc Priest gives Arcane Mages 600+ spellpower {WoW}

Apr 26th 2009 6:19PM except for the fact that in order to increase that dps, the healer would have to prevent damage said dps would be taking and thus, the healer would have to heal.

Someone was gonna heal that damage eventually, why not deal some extra damage in the meantime.

Apr 26th 2009 6:17PM If his math is flawed, then by your math, he underestimated... which is even better.

The Queue: Cats rule, dogs drool {WoW}

Apr 21st 2009 6:48PM Your logic is flawed, all dogs are cousins to wolves, they share a common ancestor. Even then, you're statement is akin to saying all humans are chimps since chimps are a "simpler" species closer to the common ancestor.

And if you meant the common ancestor when you said "wolves" then it's like saying all members of the homo erectus species are humans, or even worse, considering all life comes from a common ancestry, all primordial bacteria are humans.

Apr 21st 2009 6:43PM Okay, model, still my point stands.

The Queue: Cats rule, dogs drool {WoW}

Apr 21st 2009 5:32PM @cyrus, kemi, keith, sthis, gal, and everyone else.

Those "dogs" are still just miniaturized worg/wolf models. Sure you could say they're like huskies or something, but they are still more like tiny wolves than dogs. And tiny worgs/wolves has already been covered in the article. I think the origional question asker was more thinking along the lines of somehting like a dalmation or a poodle or a lab puppy. You know, rounded snout, smooth hair (at least not all wild and spiky), doesn't quite show teeth all that much, the kitten sprites are actually kitten sprites, not just resized cat/tiger sprites.

Apr 21st 2009 5:27PM Actually, the horde version is a mini demon dog sharing the tirisfal model, and the alliance one is still a wolf type model. Can't seem to find anything close to any modern dog breeds, closest i can think of are the hounds you find with the scarlet dudes (like houndmaster lockley's pets) and the ones you summon with the dog whistle.

Now the way i see it is, modern dog breeds are relatively new and the result of alot of select breeding. Cat breeds on the other hand may require less breeding, that or dogs are just starting to be domesticated in wow (since the scarlet hounds seem to be still quite feral looking) and cat breeds are actively being bred (crazy cat lady in goldshire?)

Ghostcrawler on the mechanics behind Armor Penetration {WoW}

Apr 19th 2009 11:26PM Yea, we have a forumula, it's now the "law of armor penetration".

Patch 3.1 maintenance extended an extra two hours {WoW}

Apr 14th 2009 2:55PM Well they did reimburse 3 days of game time a couple months ago when ppl were constantly being disconnected. So when they think it's excessive they will act. 2 more hours isn't much esp when we've been expecting it this long, just read some more articles on the patch.
