May 18th 2010 6:33PM Just as a note, the misdirection animation now goes off over the hunter's head. Not to mention that I know for myself, I will usually cast MD well before you start your pull but I won't activate it until you've already picked up mobs yourself. Meaning, when MD is up, I have 30 seconds to activate it by actually shooting something.
Don't hate on the hunters who cast Misdirect preemptively. It doesn't necessarily mean we're going to start MDing mobs to you left and right, but that the good hunters just want it up so we can give you a huge lead on aggro right when you do decide to do the pulling :)
May 4th 2010 2:42PM I'm really not a fan of Gigi's voice (I just don't personally like it) but I do give everyone who does Machinima big props, including her. Hell, I wish I had the proverbial balls to put myself out there like they do.
But whether or not I like or dislike the people making these movies, the ingame trolling, emails, spec bashing, etc., is just ridiculous in my opinion. I play a Blood Elf hunter too, and I PvP quite a bit. Though I choose to do it as MM. Does this give me the right to bash Gigi's spec? Not at all. She pays her $15 a month just like I do, and who am I to say 'lulz you're doing it wrong, lrn2play'. I've seen some great BM hunters and it's not like they're not viable in PvP (beast cleave anyone?).
Same with Abandonation, he pays his $15 dollars a month just like we do, and he paid extra to faction change. Really who cares? Let him play the game how he wants. If he wants to play alliance, who really cares?
Though I'll admit this is the first time I've heard of Asiko :P
Just keep doing what you're doing guys (which you obviously are and don't need me to tell you that). As they say, haters gonna hate :)
Feb 24th 2010 9:30PM I would really not like to drive to the closest bookstore which is more then 40 minutes away. Yay for living in the country... I want this book.
Dec 5th 2009 6:22AM First off, he wasn't just commenting it was a male druid. If he was, then it should have just said '(or she)' and then noted the race/sex/class in a completely different sentence. Like Frank said, it reads as though because it's a male tauren, then we are to assume it's a male player.
To the bra burning, sammich making, and Susan B. comments. This wasn't some feminist rant. It's about the fact that it's silly to assume anyone's sex based on their in-game avatar. There are plenty of girls who play male toons, and plenty of guys who play female toons. Case in point, my guild's co-GMs are both male and play female blood elf mains.
This is why it's best not to make assumptions no matter what the topic may be.
Dec 3rd 2009 7:27PM *(or she, though the character is a male tauren druid)*
Uh... wtf Mike? Apparently girls can't play male tauren druids now? Oh I'm sorry, I forgot we only pick the 'pretty' races right?
Sep 9th 2009 7:13PM As much as I love Thorim's opening speech (and who doesn't?) I am equally in love with Sif's voice because she sounds so utterly evil.
'Thorim, my lord. Why else would these invaders have come into your sanctum but to slay you? They MUST be stopped!'
'Lord Thorim, I will bring your foes a FRIGID death!'
Okay, I just have the hots for Sif's voice ^_^
Sep 6th 2009 6:26PM Every time someone hears about how I have my keybinds set up they think I'm crazy. I used to have a very big problem with keyboard turning/mouse clicking so one day I just said screw it and rebound everything to make myself stop. Sure it was hard to get used to and I had to be super careful in raids at first but now I'm so incredibly comfortable with it that I'd never use a different layout.
I completely took out my move forward and my turn right and turn left bindings, since these are all things I can do much easier with my mouse. I have D bound to move backwards, and S and F bound to strafe right and left respectively. This opened it up to bind Q, W, E, R, T, Y, A, G, Z, X, and any alt/shift/ctrl modifier to any of those easily. I even have shift-F bound to volley because generally if I'm using that, I'm not moving.
I've had friends over who found it extremely bizarre, but it just works so well for me.
Jun 26th 2009 8:58PM Wow... fail reply -.-
Jun 26th 2009 8:56PM For some us, this is going to be our first Blizzcon and we like to know what to expect.
Keep up the columns Robin!
May 26th 2009 4:46PM I had to reply this comment just so I'd be at the top.
But I have to say, I'm a huge wowinsider fan so opening up the page and seeing my screen shot and a link to my post definitely put a huge grin on my face :)
