Jul 28th 2009 7:17PM I think most of the PVP on my server (US:Azjol-Nerub) tends to end terribly. Most I remember is thus:
Alliance scatters with no team work at all (=alliance lose)
Horde organizes from the beginning (=Alliance lose)
Alliance completely outnumbers Horde (=Alliance win)
Alliance toon meets Horde toon 1v1 (50% chance of win)
Notice the extreme balance towards the Horde for PvP. On the other hand, Horde on AJ tend to get too tied up in the "For The Horde" mentality. The Alliance compensate for this by having an entire army of school-age, ego-tripping, Napolean syndrome-suffering jerks for group leaders.
Yeah, I can't see the appeal of Horde at all...
Jul 24th 2009 8:25PM As much as I don't like the way most of the Alliance sets look, I can understand why they all are so similar in pattern & color. The Alliance is supposed to have more of an organized rank-and-file army while the Horde is just that. A horde of fighters. Just look at the heirarchy of either side. Alliance has clearly defined leaders, while the horde really has that "organized chaos" feel that only comes from a tribal society.
Either way, I enjoy playing my alliance characters. I just wish the tiers looked better. AND NO MORE GAS MASK LOOKING HEADS FOR HUNTERS!!!! Gawd I hated that. Gas masks & blades. /yack...
Jul 24th 2009 8:09PM I guess it comes down to how greedy Blizz & Lengedary really are. Either way there will be an army of undead ghouls.... I mean light-deprived nerds (myself included) outside the theater opening night for the midnight showing. While I'm sure that 100% of the 12 million + players won't be having nerd-gasms like me as the movie gets closer, there's still a HUGE chunk that will go. THEN you'll have all the people that will go just because they've heard about WoW at one time or another.
I predict one of the highest opening day gross in movie history. As for the follow up income... I'm just hoping they don't FUBAR this movie.
Jul 24th 2009 8:03PM Hey everyone! That guy is talking bad about WoW! Boo that man!
OTH, just imagine the nerd stampede at Blizz HQ if the movie comes out & really does suck... I'll blame Artjunkie if it does :P (jk)
Jul 22nd 2009 7:51PM Based on his rep bonus from everything he does, I'd say Brad is a Human. Possibly a rogue based on his fight scenes.
Jul 21st 2009 9:10AM Yes! A Worgen riding on the back of a goblin! Brings to mind what everyone thought it would look like for a tauren to ride a strider way back when...
Jul 21st 2009 9:06AM Maybe the worgen will get something like the shaman's ghost wolf for a land travel form. Normally they'd walk around on 2 legs but for travel drop down to all 4. As for flying, I know warlocks & paladins don't have class specific fliers either so that wouldn't be a big surprise.
Jul 20th 2009 1:31AM Very well done Michael. I see the PvP column is learning from past reviews. You managed to ask BJ all the right questions. Keep up the good work. /salute
Also, I've recently started a druid alt & was trying to decide what spec to play. I might have to give boomkin a try & see how it feels...
Jul 19th 2009 7:11PM I have to back up Sean, in a way, on this one. Listen to the spousal unit. I play a hunter myself & don't claim to know anything about any shaman beyond "look at the the pretty totem. Ack! Why is it throwing fireballs at me?!" In any event, if Blizz ended up putting AGI on shammy gear, just think of the outcries, increased ninja arts, noob need rolls, etc, etc, etc. I'm not just talking about shaman rolling on my precious hunter gear but also the true huntards that would roll on sham gear just because it had high agility (or some other hunter stat).
Well that's my 2 cents. /brace for flame...
Jun 29th 2009 8:08PM I don't know... I have to agree with Evankimori. Isn't Mimiron a robot as well? It doesn't say that it will be strickly an ENG Robot. Not to mention something as cool & valuable as Jeeves would fetch a HUGE fee on the AH (assuming it's not a BoP recipe). Either way, definitely leveling my Engineer again.
