Cataclysm starting zone lore and other new details revealed {WoW}

Sep 29th 2009 4:23PM Garrosh is BROWN! There are no BROWN Orcs on Horde! He's not even one of us! check his birth certificate, it probably says he was born in Kenya but he won't show it to us!

Survey: Figuring out the faction transfer numbers {WoW}

Sep 4th 2009 8:31PM You need to add in the option for "I'm transferring factions only so I can re-transfer in 60 days to choose a new race for the faction I'm already in"

I bet Blizzard is well aware there will be people paying twice just to change their race and NOT their faction in the long run.

Officers' Quarters: Crushed by the banhammer {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2009 2:49PM I'm interested in what instigated the banning. Was it just a complete surprise? Was it a disgruntled friend that reported you? I just can't imagine Bliz is scanning accounts and developing new algorithims to identify and ban people out of the blue.

I have a similiar situation, less similar, in which a friend of mine owns an account not under his own name because he got the account from a friend who gave up after 10 minutes of trying lvl 1. We've often discussed how this is a supposed TOS violation but how really unfair it would be to lose the account as a result.

TurpsterVision: FigurePrints review {WoW}

Jun 23rd 2009 7:12PM I see, thank you for explaining. My apologies for the confusion; unfortunately I'm not able to hear audio at the moment and was just relying on the gallery.

Good luck with the Gnome print! :)

TurpsterVision: FigurePrints review {WoW}

Jun 23rd 2009 6:18PM I don't understand why he got a FigurePrint of Kungen when it sounds like it was supposed to be of his character. It sounds like you can put whatever you want on your character to dress them up, so why not use your own character? Or is Turpster a huge fan of Kungen and wanted to have him immortalized on his desk to admire him as an allstar of WoW?

Mountain Dew Game Fuel site launches for reals {WoW}

May 15th 2009 8:23PM Except that so far I have yet to see how this promotion encourages any purchases.
So far has anyone gone out to buy bottles of Mt. Dew as part of the promotion, or has everyone just been working for points on the website of fail, only to never think about the promotion again once desired point goal is reached?

The real question everyone should be asking is "How much Mt. Dew might one need to purchase to gain X reward?" If the answer is "none", then we can expect that the majority of people participating in the promotion won't be purchasing more Mt. Dew than they would have prior to promotion.

Mountain Dew Game Fuel site launches for reals {WoW}

May 15th 2009 6:37PM HAI GAIS I CANT LOGIN TO IT, JUS THOT U SHUD NO. LOLOL.

Mountain Dew Game Fuel site launches for reals {WoW}

May 15th 2009 6:32PM Seeing all these posts about people not being able to login is like seeing someone walking around the deck of the Titanic during a full evacuation, looking for the Captain to tell him you think there's a problem with the boat.

Dual specs currently cost 1000g {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 4:09PM Current expenses…

Priest
900g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying

Druid
900g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg

Warrior
900g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg

Paladin
600g - 60 mount (class quest mats)
1000g - 70 flying reg

Warlock
600g - 60 mount (class quest mats)
1000g - 70 flying reg

Shaman
600g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)

Hunter
600g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)

That totals up to what I’ve spent so far: 11,100g

Here’s what its going to look like with all my chars at 80 and dual spec (no epic flight)

Priest
900g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying
1000g – Dual spec

Druid
900g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying
1000g – Dual spec

Warrior
900g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying
1000g – Dual spec

Paladin
600g - 60 mount (class quest mats)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying
1000g – Dual spec

Warlock
600g - 60 mount (class quest mats)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying
1000g – Dual spec

Shaman
600g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying
1000g – Dual spec

Hunter
600g - 60 mount (pre patch cost reduction)
1000g - 70 flying reg
1000g - 77 cold weather flying
1000g – Dual spec

This is what it’ll cost me to get each one to 80 with dual spec and basic flight: 26,100g

Add Epic Flight to one of those (my main): 31,100g

Add Epic Flight to each of those: 61,100g

Is it really necessary? Is Epic flight or dual spec really going to be considered option or luxury expense? Is that how we view Epic land mounts, as optional luxury items?

My personal course of action is going to be to open a trouble ticket tonight just to waste a GM’s time complaining about this upcoming cost. The least I can do is make my displeasure their displeasure, and if enough of us do this they might just get the point.
