Mar 11th 2010 8:00PM Personally, i love PvP as Combat. With my high crit chance, even in my PvP gear, my Killing Spree can do upwards of 15k damage on a cloth wearer with 900 resil. Coupled with Adrenaline Rush as well, any player except a Paladin who can get a bubble off is very likely to be dead in the space of 5 seconds. Don't assume that combat rogues don't PvP much, i've been doing it as combat since Wrath came out ;)
Feb 18th 2010 7:21PM The note about dueling away from PVE mobs is a good one.
I remember dueling a friend of mine in Durotar (both of us 80) and she agro'd one of the little level 5 scorpions just as the duel ended, with her on 1hp. As amusing as it was to see a level 80 killed by a level 5 mob, it's something to watch out for :P.
Jan 12th 2010 9:03PM Thank you. While i've had plenty of good experiences tanking using the Random Dungeon Finder, the bad experiences i've had were pretty much all caused by people using these abilities. From here on out, i'll be directing people to this article. Hopefully it'll help them learn, and have a bit more consideration for their tank and the rest of their group.

Jul 8th 2009 12:52AM It looks like a very very basic strategy to me. Theres a few things about the fight that are integral to beating the enrage timer, Storm Power should be spread to as many people as possible, and ranged need to stand next to the toasty fires so as to put the Singed debuff on Hodir. It would probably help to mention that only the large icicles that spawn when he casts flash freeze are the only ones that spawn snow drifts, if you start standing in the small ones during flash freeze, you'll get a hell of a lot of people getting frozen.
Jul 2nd 2009 12:25AM It's not an entirely bad idea i think. My guild did it with only the tanks getting the debuff, but i have heard of other guilds having dps like a hunter pick up the debuff for the dps boost. The hardest part is bringing him down in time, and dpsing through his self healing.

It will... sort of. He left out some of the big info about the debuff, most likely because it was for a easy mode strat, rather than hard mode. Basically how it works is the tank (or whoever has agro) will get the debuff, do 200% extra damage, then die after 60 seconds (30 on heroic.) What he doesn't mention is the fact that for every person who dies while steelbreaker is the last up, he heals himself for 15%, and increases his damage by 15%. The best way is to have your tanks soul stoned/b-rezed so they can come back up, but he still needs to die quickly, otherwise people will start getting one shotted.
Apr 18th 2009 8:20AM I have to say the Fight Club guys in Undercity :D
