Sep 21st 2011 3:18PM trying again to make the comment system work: that analysis by class is almost valid, but assumes every hybred is a playing their healing spec. Kind of a big, invalid assumption.
Sep 21st 2011 3:15PM this order analysis convienently ignores hybreds who spec anything other than heals - like enchance, who can't even get crafted 365 weapons added to the game that they can use.
More over the devs don't add a weapon like this (they claim) because it's someone's 'turn' for the legnedary.
It isn't clear to me how they do pick who gets the legendary, but they claim it isn't who has waited longest.
Sep 21st 2011 3:12PM Enjoy the fruits of all the rogue QQ - I have to admit, you guys do it the best and most effectively.
Aug 25th 2011 2:50PM yeah - this was what I didn't get about the article. This trade off was sort of brushed off - but seems deeply relevant to a discussion of regular mode/hard mode raiding.
Aug 25th 2011 2:49PM I'm not sure I understand the premise. The the argument does not seem to be that really hard encounters that only 1% of the players got past was more fun becuase less people saw them and it was therefore better to be in the 1%? Is the argument that really hard encounters were better because keeping track of acheivements and hard modes at the same time is annoying?
I'm not sure I can agree with the premise of the article, but I'm not sure I know what that premise was.
Jul 29th 2011 4:58PM blizzard: yeah, but you can just raid as resto.
Jul 17th 2011 10:11PM It's usually impossible to ultimately know anyone's true intentions in any circumstance, no? The best we can do usually is say that all signs point to someone's intentions being as represented.
Jul 14th 2011 11:16AM moreover, when they datamined the tanking heriloom pants from 4.2 files they included a specific note on the main page saying they didn't think they'd make it in game, as all the other heriloom sets also have pants in the game files that aren't in game.
Jul 7th 2011 1:30PM Is there a secret hidden option to exceed the current minimum size the sliders give you for the boxes? The current minimum is still about 3x larger than I keep grid set at on my healers, and maybe 6x larger than on my dps toons, and is the only real feature that is keeping me from making the switch.
These are a huge step forward either way though and I love that they added frames that actually make it concieveable that someone like me could heal a raid w/o addons.
Jul 2nd 2011 10:42PM The ICC 5 mans and BOT both had their trash epic drop rates nerffed within a few days of going live. I don't get how this is hard to QA ahead of time. The other bugs and unanticipated consequences make much more sense to me. Making most patches include a gold rush / penalty for not logging in and farming on the buggy patch day is something I really don't like.
