WoW Patch 3.1 PTR Holy and Disc Priest changes {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 6:57PM As a Disc PvE healer these notes have been a roller coaster. The Rapture change is awesome, no wait, it's a mana nerf, no wait we give more raid benefits, no wait OOM, no wait PW:Shield is buffed, but no return from DA, But DA stacks up to 10k, but no mana return on FH, but FH gets more crit and cost less, no more Hymn, but Shadow fiend gets buffed...

Overall i like these changes. They atleast seem interesting. I think we will shine in Multi tanking fights where we can focus on our assigned tank, yet PW:Shield all the other tanks w/o loosing any focus on our tank and have the borrowed time buff up fairly often.

Is Blizzard cutting costs? {WoW}

Jan 27th 2009 6:39PM How about you guys get off your high horse and have some fun. First of all, the Forum (WoW Insider included) contradicts itself consistently. Does no one remember how many articles were up about “3.0.8 still not here, WTF Blizzard hurry up.”? Yet now you guys say Blizzard has been rushing things too much? I’m willing to bet the developers felt much more pressure from you QQ forum posters than Activision has ever put on them.

If anyone is to blame for “Buggy Patches” and “lack of difficulty/content” it’s YOU. You complain that you can never raid, they lower raids to 25 mans. You complain that you never saw Ony/nax, they make end game raids easier. You complain that you never saw BT/Sunwell, they make endgame raiding even easier. You complain that there hasn’t been a significant patch for 3 months, they rush one to shut you the hell up. You complain that Bliz never listens, yet their actions have been direct reactions to your complaints. Everyone is asking for Ulduar to be really hard, I’m willing to bet people ask for it to be nerfed with in the first 3 weeks of it’s release, then QQ about how easy it is a month later.
If you are already tired of the content, then either you have been playing to much, or haven’t fully appreciated WoW in its entirety. WoW consist of lv. 1-80, 10 classes, 2 playable factions, 10 playable races, 10 main professions, 3 secondary professions, ton of instances/raids, BG’s, Arenas, and tons of gear. Don’t QQ that you have done all the content b/c you have a lv. 80 Hunter that has beaten 25Nax and Maly. And If you have experienced all of the game, or just don’t want to experience the rest… go do something else? You most certainly have gotten your money’s worth. Don’t troll the forums posting “Bliz need to do this, Bliz needs to do that!” and continue playing a game you apparently are displeased with. Constructive criticism is one thing, but the shortsightedness of this article disgusts me.

Heroics as a fresh 80: Don't be that guy {WoW}

Jan 14th 2009 1:21PM Bah, ment 75, not 65. Sorry for the typo.

Heroics as a fresh 80: Don't be that guy {WoW}

Jan 14th 2009 1:18PM This is very dependent on your skill level and gear. I leveled my Healing Priest (Disc, not face rolling CoH) mainly in dungeons. I started healing HoL/HoS/CoS etc. starting at 65. As a healer you can generally be at the lowest lv. required to enter a instance as long as you are properly geared/skilled. By the time I hit 80 I had already gotten all the upgrades i could from normal instances (except the trinket from CoS which i finally won on my 25ish run).

I would also say that any dps with 78+ gear (which they should have by 80 if they spent time gearing in instances/quests) can easy pull over 1.5k dps. If they cant, then they just lack skills, not gear.

The only role that is truly gear dependent is Tanking. Do not try to tank a Heroic if you are not Def. capped unless everyone else, especially the healer, is over geared.
