Also scientists. Contrary to anybody qualified in the relevant fields. Us people, with these learno-qualifactiono-things. Dissent on the topic amounts to serious scientists saying "maybe its 3% instead of 2.9%" and quacks saying "[common sense x] [non sequitar empirical assumption y] [consensus that agrees with their political bias z]".
Come on people, politics isn't where you should even glance for scientific knowledge. We have peer-review, meta-analysis and rigorous academic standards for a study to even be looked at, while the other side is lacking in even basic theoretical or experimental grounding. The science says the earth is experiencing anthropogenic (human caused) warming, because of certain gas emissions, significantly increased since the industrial revolution. The politics, whether it agrees or disagrees is irrelevant.
I wasn't going to comment, but the thing about photosynthesis almost gave me an aneurysm. It's one single isolated fact that, believe it or not, your triple digit IQ superiors are fully aware of. You know, when we were founding the subject of biology.
May 1st 2009 2:23PM Why WOULDN'T he take his fun to Ulduar? it's new, and I hear its great fun. See some wild stuff and not worry about dragging 25 people to fail endlessly?
It WOULD be fun to one-shot. Lots of people use cheat codes in games. And gear? Cause, you know, he needs it. He literally wants all that gear for him and his guild so he can ru...oh no wait he's blowing through content. Gear? Really?
If I was in his position, my answers would be the same as his. I'd hope mine would be so clear on everything.
Come on Blizz, what's he done? Ruined his own game experience by solo'ing? SO? It's HIS game experience. In fact, he had a laugh about it. What's he done worth perma-banning?
May 1st 2009 2:12PM Reading the interview about how he got it, I don't even really consider that he was in the wrong. It could so easily have been an experiment by blizzard, a reward for the displacement of the service, or just a laugh by people who love their game.
I mean, it had a usage limit. That screams "bonus item". If it was a GM item or something similar, it'd be unlimited usage.
Is it really SO preposterous that you'd think "this is a bit of fun"? He did and I would, and atm 45.5% of you agree you wouldn't ticket it.
May 1st 2009 1:12PM Apparently there's this crazy new feature called removing self buffs. You guys should run a feature about it, I heard its all the rage.
Apr 30th 2009 2:52PM Well yeah, you aren't gonna mix it up and start firing bows with an arrow, while your pet heals.
But each tree has quirks, techniques and tactics unique to it. Your getting a different DPS experience. Your point is valid on getting into raids though, of course.
Apr 30th 2009 2:41PM I don't understand that last question, I'll take it on faith that's its quite funny.
I was wondering about Classic WoW, and since I never saw it, how it compared to modern Wrath? For example, there's talk about how Blues interact so much more with the community, the raids are easier, the classes have changed roles, new content is expected on a certain timescale nowadays....; how slight where they when they happened? Was the community as critical back then?
Most importantly, what made them change so much, besides the user size explosion?
Apr 30th 2009 2:14PM Surely your fighting bring the player, not the class then? "lets make a feature unique to only two classes, making at least one of them mandatory for raids."
Remember Magister's Terrace, where if you weren't a CC able class you were boned getting a place? Wasn't that AWESOME, druids and shaman?
I agree with the sentiment that its sad pure DPS don't have a big lead even though they can't spec away, but they also get three dps specs. Sad they cant tank or heal, but its not sad pallys get no choices about how they do their damage? Or should they have 5 trees? Maybe we should all be 5 tree'd. Wouldn't that TOTALLY not homogenize the classes into role being a choice of aesthetics?
Jan 19th 2009 5:19PM So your plan is to drag a character fitting into the previous expansion, on a mildly fitting plotline, into the current expansion? I heard there are animals in the emerald dream, maybe shepherd should be the new class? I mean, they could go and tame new animals, it'd be an awesome questline.
And we're still not addressing the actual setting - why would they drag something old into something new? The best suggestion I've seen is Keeper of The Grove - the best suggestion so far came from a rickrolling lead in.
Keeper of The Grove has so much room to grow from - they can simply pick their form at start (any race), they have an obvious reason to be repelling the Nightmare, and it'd not hard to imagine a reason for them appearing in the old world considering The Dream is at least one other azeroth, which soaks into ours at points. Maybe they got out to seek aid.
Jan 19th 2009 4:57PM Am I the only person who DOESN'T want a runecaster? Like it was said before, if it fit into the current expansion, and it isnt in it now, then it won't be getting added in the next.
Runes are known basically because of DK's and Vrykul, and we're PLAYING that expansion. Any other known rune-users? Especially if we're going to the Emerald Dream - there's so much to bring from the night elf culture, green aspect history and power, as well as this massive corrupting influence on the Dream.
I mean, surely the theme is going to go with it? mystical, mysterious, GREEN, imaginative, DREAMLIKE. Why bring carved stones/metal into the mix? it's a bit too northrend for me.
