Jun 27th 2011 6:05AM I am going to miss the prospect>Vendor. Fast and very profitable. No Ah or d/e'in.
I am going to vendor all my greens before patch. I have 1800g in gems (vendor price) to make for raw metas. those are the only ones i hesitate on. Yes i can make more money, but it also takes a long time to do so. Especially in a fragile market. If it saturates, you are sitting on them.
Jun 20th 2011 6:38PM I agree with you logic here, but I also think it can be highly dependent on the server and its age. If you were to inv the "just anyone who wants in" people on the server I play on, you end up with a ton of a-holes and people that have never heard the words "Don't Stand in the FIRE!".
I recall the early days and took a break right after I hit 60. When I came back I was the biggest noob on the planet. So I know how some players feel when everyone laughing at them because "LoS" means nothing to them. It's tough to raid and teach people to raid at the same time.
Again, good point, but I think it's a point that is viewed very differently depending on where you play.
Feb 25th 2011 2:58AM I'm with you on being a little disappointed. Some things need to be extremely rare but something that a person can do on their own. I felt like I achieved something when I got the Salty title. I have since taken several friends to the Sunday derby to show/help them win.
That said I also think epics should come from certain kinds of pools. The turtle mount is something that I have been trying to get since it went live. I stopped counting at 15,000 fish and that was long before cata patch. Real long time before actually. Yet I still am trying since it drops in the Cata zones too. I must admit that fishing has brought me some extremely valuable drops from crates etc. I think the best so far was the tailoring pattern for the purple shirt. Sold it for 5k back when that was an insane amount of gold.
I would love to see another Salty type title know that they are nerfing the other two.
Damn that turtle!!!!!!!!
Sep 12th 2010 2:04PM I find that I either am playing or not playing WoW. I dont know what it is but after having the time to play hardcore raiding style going back to just casual gets boring fast.
Sep 3rd 2010 8:02PM 488 Gb of SS's and i dont even raid anymore. Its nice to have a life but i miss it sometimes.
Apr 22nd 2010 11:27AM This article just reminded me why i stopped using this site hunter info. Back too mmo-cha...
Apr 14th 2010 9:01PM Of the very small number of out group that is left I think I am the only one to exclusively play one class. It has been a roller coaster the past 5+ years and as the new expansion looms, I wonder how close to the end we are. There will be one.
Some days I find myself looking forward to feeling like I completed all the content, geared from it, and now anything I do is just for fun. The game will stay open for years. Many of the guilds will go on to try and clear all endgame content in all blues or something.
At an age of 33 now, I have moved to another guild to got out of an leadership role again. It gets harder and harder to get guildies to understand the workings of life after highschool and college.
Apr 13th 2010 2:05PM It does come off like an ad for the Free2Play world. At the same time, when its all said and done it does come down to money. Its always nice to think that a game's only concern is to please it's players. In reality it is a balancing act of pleasing people just enough to keep buying/playing or w/e your model is. There is always a bottom line to meet.
This is such a new industry that I expect to see many different types models trying to capitalize on how to make big money with the least amount of investment.
Apr 13th 2010 1:57PM That's a big number considering how long we have had MMO's. When I first went to college, having dial-up at home was the only choice. That was only 15 years ago. The growth rate is huge. MMO's are the ".com" of this generation when you look at the market as a whole.
Apr 12th 2010 2:15PM Sadly, most raiding guilds don't pay repairs, feasts, gems, and enchants. Yea the boEs that dont go to a players main spec go in the bank but that's the last most guildies see of it. Even officers.
I'm speaking for ranked per server mind you, but never the less. Its hard to answer questions from guildies as an officer when they want to know why theres 60k in the gbank and they see the boe's in the AH but never get repairs paid for.
