World of Warcraft: Cataclysm leaked by MMO-Champion {WoW}

Aug 14th 2009 11:07PM All that was said in the post is true including the name of the expansion. My roommate is a GM. They get a look at all the early Blizzcon stuff and all of this was in it. There's also way more you guys don't know and I won't spill, you'll know soon enough. Let's just say Onyxia wasn't brought back for a limited run just because of how fun/rage inducing her raid was at 60, there's a reason she of all old raid bosses was brought back. You lore nerds will start getting spastic nose bleeds come Blizzcon, I know I did.

Call me a troll. Call me a liar. I'm fine with it. Blizzcon will give you all of this info and more. Just consider this a 'credible rumor' and take with a grain of salt if you must. Honestly, I believe Boubouille got his info straight from someone at Blizzard. There's NO speculation, these are the exact same things the GM's found out about.

Now I need to make sure my roommate doesn't find out I posted this. He might stab me with his Frostmourne nobody is allowed to touch.

Arena players say they can't compete with Death Knights {WoW}

Feb 20th 2009 3:46PM I do have to say to the Koreans, l2p. I'm well geared and on 5v5 team, I know how to play my class. I still get roflstomped by the people who know their classes and that have figured the DK's out.

Stun me (rogue) and/or fear chain (lock) me while DPS'ing until I die. Simple.

I had a mage the other day wiping my face in the dirt while I was doing a daily. He was better than I was.

The lesson here is that a new class causes you to modify or completely rethink your strat. That's all it is. If a rogue/mage combo worked before, that was because you found it worked with the classes, it obviously doesn't with a DK who has been described as an anti-caster. Rethink, regroup, try, rinse, repeat until you get it right.

Ask a Lore Nerd: Hail to the king {WoW}

Jan 18th 2009 8:34PM I have theroies about how all of this is connected and what we might see in the citadal. It's kind of odd that the lich king would order his minions to just stand around a crystal at various points around Azeroth. What were they for? Gather power? Why would he need that? They were there to corrupt the land? That's all fine and good but the locations of the crystals were mostly in corrupted places and already desolate places as it was.

I think they were diversions. LK woke up, and saw what the champions of Azeroth have done. He saw the black dragon flight all but extincted, an old god's powerful minion killed. His pride and joy, Naxxramas, devoid and emptied. Then the big shocker, Illidan Stormrage, a ridiculously powerful foe (even to DK Arthas), killed, the leader of the Blood Elves, killed twice. Then he heard about Kil'Jaeden fate. He suddenly realized he might have a big problem on his hands. If they (we) can rise to those occasions and overcome even the acting leader of the legion, the one Ner'Zhul himself couldn't kill, he knew he needed help. Hell, that might be why he organized the entire DK event to get Tirion. If LK had him he'd probably be breathing easy right now.

I think he used the cystals to distract us to go find and raise Illidan. He may have raised Kael'Thas, possibly Lady Vashj as well. He has a penchant for raising powerful dragons, we may see the human versions of Onxia and and Nefarian, or he may have skipped them and went for Deathwing himself. He might even have Malygos now since he died. The Vykrul are largly a failure on his part, they were of next to no help, they might have been a good alli had we not gotten there while they were still waking up.

One thing to me is for sure, he knew he was going to be destroyed if he didn't do some drastic things. Some paid off, but one in particular not only didn't pay off, but became the biggest threat to date to him, his own creations.
