I write about dragons on the internet, Dad {WoW}

Feb 13th 2012 5:51PM ;_; I envy you so much.

My sister thinks I'm geek/nerd (and not with good connotations) - but she's a girly girl and I'm .. well .. not. We're total opposites. My parents understand how fun gaming can be and stuff (they've been buying me computers since the Vic20), but they don't really understand the MMO side of things - that if they drop by unannounced and we're in a dungeon, we can't really drop everything because there's other people on the other side of the world that would be pissed at us, and it's rude.

I have no family who MMO game, or friends (apart from the ones I have met through WoW).

The OverAchiever: Help update our list of evil achievements {WoW}

Feb 12th 2012 6:41PM Moonguard isn't that hard, if you have a group that has a clue. Don't run ahead of the tank, don't dps on the way to the light, don't heal between lights unless it's an emergency. I got it first in a guild group and second in a pug when I stated those exact rules before the pull.

The Camel is a biatch to find. I've found figurines only twice now - both crumbled to dust ;_;

Accomplished Angler is still my bane. I got everything needed within about 2-4 months ... except the tourney win. It still eludes me.

Long Strange Trip is one I definitely will not do again on any other toon. Achievements I can work at over a couple months of hard play are fine - one that requires a MINIMUM of 12 months (at max level) if you're lucky with RNG is hell.

The Molten Front achieves weren't all that hard, or much of a RNG pain. A week of dailies for the /wave (hang around for half hour or so in that area before handing in your quest and see who shows up, or get guildies to tell you which NPCs they get so you can come wave) and then probably only about a couple weeks for the bombing.

Bloody Rare and Frostbitten aren't too difficult for the determined player. NPCScan is your friend. Fly the paths regularly, and above all don't just camp a spot - it will bore and frustrate you to death. Just check a few times a day and do something else. You will get them all in a few months and it won't feel like you have a bloody forehead from bashing it against the wall.

Can't think of more off the top of my head - will probably come back with a reply once I"ve checked out my in game achieves :D

Breakfast Topic: Have you ever won the Fishing Tournament? {WoW}

Jan 21st 2012 5:12PM I've tried more times than I can count. It's the only thing holding me back from getting my Salty title and it drives me nuts. I just can't seem to win it.

Jan 10th 2012 8:52PM That's a question I'm interested in - I won the sword. But I usually dual wield frost spec. Is it worth redoing my talents to 2H to use it?

The OverAchiever: How archaeology could get a lot worse (and why we hope it won't) {WoW}

Jan 5th 2012 8:06PM Just my 2c worth.

> Make it so there is ALWAYS one digsite PER RACE on both Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. Then you can pick and choose which race to focus on without the need for much in the way of additional programming.

> Failing the above point, please please please make it so that once you have completed EVERY available artifact for a race, they no longer show up in your random sites if you have other races that are incomplete.

> Make the Vial of Sands recipe BOA. If I ever find this on my main (my only archy toon) I will cry, as she is not an alchemist.

> Let us turn completed finds into someone, somewhere for reputation/currency (such as a museum or the DMF).

As someone who maxed archy within 2 days of introduction, has lost count of how many completions she has had and has completed all but 3 races finds (which continue to elude me, thanks to RNG), I would love to be able to enjoy archaeology again and find some purpose with it, knowing that I WILL get results from all my hard work and that it doesn't all rely on RNG.

Museum idea sounds really cool, and I LOVE the idea that you can delete stuff to save bag room and the re-loot from the museum artifact you donated if you ever want it again.

Guild museums is an AWESOME idea! I would so love to be able to work with my guild to be able to show off everything we have collected :D

Jan 5th 2012 7:47PM Great idea ^_^. Just handing in 15 fossil artifacts each month is kinda boring, when there's so much that could be done with archy and DMF. Perhaps have a look through the list of greys you can find, see which ones would fit into DMF, make them white (so they don't auto-sell) and let us turn them into the archy guy in DMF for rep/tickets.

Jan 5th 2012 7:43PM Twill, I like that idea about the raptor. Having to go somewhere specific and do something to unlock the option to start collecting a rare would be really helpful. Perhaps more involved than just a kill somewhere - a chain of quests where you do the kill, get a sliver, go somewhere to get it analysed, add a couple more steps, THEN you can complete it. They're rare for a reason - don't want to make it too easy to get.

As for your four locations PER RACE suggestion, that's overkill. One location per race AT ALL TIMES would be sufficient. And really, really welcome.
