Breakfast topic: Poaching {WoW}

Jan 19th 2009 12:11PM I have to say that Trade is for just that, Trade.....

I use recruitment channel and that is it in game...

I am much more creative than that when recruiting...

The wow forums are full of people advertising they are looking for guilds and are willing to transfer for the right one...

Get off the old stuff, be new and innovative. This will get others attention quicker than the old "I'll put you on ignore now cause you are annoying" method of spamming trade.

Breakfast topic: Poaching {WoW}

Jan 19th 2009 12:06PM I am a GL of a larger guild but this was not always the case. I have gone through trial and error in finding good members but now that our guild is nearly three years old it is easier....

As far as pugs this is where I found my most loyal and trustworthy members who now are officers....

I never ask them to join us, I never try to "poach" and I hate those that do....

I play with them, have a good time and reinvite them on other runs if I like them....

If they are disatisfied with their guild they will come to you...

You can however ask them to sign up at your website so they can read your posts and post themselves there.... this way they get a little more of a nudge toward you....

Your best advertisement is how your guild is perceived by others on the server....

Is your guild known for honor, not kill stealing, not ore node stealing, not ninja looting....

Have your members and you been fair in all dealings with others when grouping and otherwise...

In short... too late I know... Let your PuG team up and your web site speak for itself. This constitutes 100% poach free....

Have fun
