Jun 17th 2009 5:25PM Something to remember for stealth classes is even though it's very easy for high levels to see you, it's still simple to get away. Just as soon as you gain some distance, or if you see them coming early, jump in one direction and stealth, then immediately do a 180 and run off. I've never been found that way and so far 100% of the time the higher level will run off in the wrong direction trying to cut you off, allowing you to escape. It's also funny to see them spamming aoe in the completely wrong area until they get tired and leave.

That's the link the redeem button on the Mountain Dew website sends you to. Since battle.net isn't being swamped right now it works fine and after logging in will get your pet.
May 29th 2009 12:51AM Something else to remember with heroism is that it buffs most temporary pets. So whenever it's used, a countdown to let people know to summon things like spirit wolves, treants and the like if they're up is a good idea to get more dps out of them. Makes a shadowfiend give more mana back as well.
May 17th 2009 8:44PM That was fixed before even Gotta Go! was changed, or at the same time at the latest. He always resets back to troll form now and still will cast transformation.
May 17th 2009 6:17PM Improved counterspell doesn't work on Moorabi like that anymore. Transform is a physical ability now, meaning it can't be locked out. Hitting him with any interrupt ability only stops it until the next cast 5 seconds later, assuming he's under 50% health.
In addition to a reverb shammy making it much easier, a combat rogue spamming FoK with the talent letting it interrupt helps as well. Just a few seconds after the first sub 50% interrupt hit AR and start spamming.
Feb 16th 2009 6:12PM What nonsense. People like you are why there's so much complaining about it. You don't understand what's going on or how it's done, and you think any warlock can just pull out a voidwalker, tank it effortlessly, while putting out the same dps as normal.
A warlock has to spec and gear in a specific way, exactly like any other tank trying to tank sarth. The warlock is not only going to be doing bad dps, he's going to be doing even less than a normal tank, because he has to sit there spamming health funnel most of the fight. Not to mention that while the voidwalker is taker less damage from the breath, hes taking more melee. He isn't going to have the same avoidance as any other tank, plus he can still be crit.
The only difference this has from any other tank is that avoidance makes it more reliable to avoid the breath than using any other cooldowns. The dps requirements are still the same. The healing requirements are still the same.
And guess what? Even if they changed the one part of the fight everyone seems to be complaining about, the voidwalker taking very small breaths, it would still be possible. The same cooldowns available for other tanks to use can be cast on the voidwalker. Plus a void has a version of last stand.
The number of correctly geared and specced people capable of tanking just a single encounter in the game has gone up by one. It doesn't make the fight suddenly easymode(plus trying to position a void using only follow and stay has got to be tough) and it's the only multi mob boss in the game where a void makes for a more reliable tank than someone else.
So keep complaining and spouting stupid hyperbole like comparing it to one-shotting Arthas with a strudel. In the end, even with a nerf, it's still going to be possible, and short of never making another multi mob boss, void tanking isnt going anywhere.
Jan 19th 2009 5:21PM Because of how unfun they make the battlegrounds for non-twinks. I refuse to enter a BG when leveling a new alt until at least the 40's.
That said, I do not think Blizzard should get rid of twinks. I just wish there was a better system for BG's that would separate them from the people simply leveling.
Many twinks say they twink to fight other twinks, not one shot everyone else. This survey supports it, but when a non-twink tries to defend his flag or flag carrier, or even carry the flag themselves it's not something one can realistically follow.
