Apr 21st 2009 5:18PM God forbid you might have to do something more than follow the flashing punctuation and sparkles to complete a quest. I guess this is what WoW has become now, so why should I expect otherwise?
Apr 21st 2009 4:41PM WoW is about gear now. We are fast running out of room for "fun and flavor." I like that they are trying, but I am already moving out of Azeroth, as are many people who want something a little more "rpg-like" instead of a gear-race. As these people leave, there will be less demand for flavor content, until no new flavor content is created. Just look what happened to class specific quests. The tournament is just too little, too late IMHO. Wrath may be the WoW golden age for the casual and those of average skill, but it is the death for anyone that grew up as a gamer or likes a good role-playing game.
Apr 19th 2009 12:23PM No, it's because my credit card has already been billed for the month, but nice try. I am in the process of auctioning everything at rock bottom prices so I can give some gold to guildees on the way out. I don't even really understand how people get addicted to such an empty game.
Oh, and don't worry. I'm in the process of shooing. I won't miss you, or most of the other Warcrafters much either. Have fun with your mindless, repetitive tasks. :P

As someone who has worked in support before, I can tell you that this is their default BS answer to get you off their back ASAP when the queues for support are 100 deep. They know exactly what issues can and can't be fixed by deleting the WTF folder, and will give this answer KNOWING it won't fix your issue. It's like that at every support center I ever worked in. Having said that, I don't really blame them. Support is a crappy job. There is a reason why that industry has an ungodly turnover rate.
Apr 19th 2009 1:18AM Blizzard failed, again. That's what happened.
Now, queue all the Blizzard fan-boy losers to make up stories about how hard it is running the biggest MMO ever...

Doing things "my way" is what made WoW popular in the first place. Why change what put you at the top? Most companies that mess with a proven, successful, formula end up making things worse, not better.
Coke? New Formula-> Fail. Burger King and no actual flame broil -> gradual loss of market share over the past several years.
I have MANY more examples floating around in my head, but this isn't really the forum for it. Besides, I want to go play Fallout 3...
Apr 18th 2009 5:32PM The concept of "hard modes" is flawed. It just means you get to run easy mode again and again until you are geared enough to try hard mode. By then, I'm bored of it. Just make it hard the first time around. This whole game has become nothing but an online drag race where your toon is the car. It's a completely non-immersive game now and the story may as well not even be in the game. Oh well, 3 more weeks on my card and I'm done with the laughable excuse for a game forever. Good luck all!
Apr 16th 2009 5:43PM I will start by saying that I don't twink, but don't have a problem with it. You however, sound like one of those nubs who tries to run battlegrounds at level 25. Everyone that has played for more than a month knows better. Besides, if you aren't 80, shouldn't you be out questing?
Now, I bet as you sit here reading this, you are thinking "who the hell is this guy to tell me how to play WoW?" If so, I hope the irony of that isn't lost on you.
Apr 15th 2009 12:03AM You can quit WoW and try another MMO. Whenever anything gets to be this mainstream, it usually starts to suck. For the next couple years, it's only going to get worse. Blizzard has found the financial sweet spot that allows them to do as little as possible and still maintain the playerbase. I would be willing to bet that Activision played no small part in this.
Try a smaller more mature MMO. That's what I'm doing. Tried Dungeons and Dragons online trial, but didn't care for it. I'm signing up for the trial for Final Fantasy Online next. It looks WAY more complicated and mature than WoW.... At least that's what I'm hoping.
