Mar 23rd 2009 1:05PM I never once said you don't deserve a congratulatory for clearing the hardest boss in end game currently. I am merely stating the fact that you through it into a breakfast topic disguised as a thread on hitting a stride. When the first statement was in fact, hey look at us, we did this yay us!
You guys made a heroic feat, and was able to pull a 25 man together to down a boss that requires near perfect execution to get down. I just think there is a time and place for that. Such as WoWInsiders: Guild Watch, and/or your local realm forums. I wouldn't want to hear how Bill Gates got to the 21st mission on Space Pinball in Windows wrapped around how Space Pinball is getting a huge upgrade. Well actually I would because it would be hilarious.
Congrats Zach, and Zach's guild on your triumph.
I still demand editorial privileges though.
Mar 23rd 2009 9:44AM Yay! You gloated to the whole community that you got an Achievement and made it look like it actually a blog post!!! yay!!!!!
I guess that's the perk of getting your own column on a website...I demand to be an editor here!
Feb 9th 2009 1:39PM Any word on when they're going to make engineers not useless in 3.1...
No mammoth cutters...

YOU HAVE BECOME MORE USELESS THAN PARIS HILTON'S OPINION IN POLITICS!!
Feb 6th 2009 1:42PM Funny Thread is Funny.....
My only post for this topic:
Elitist Jerk - 50% -- You are right that this game has become easy to do. I will 100% admit people think they deserve epics to be handed to them, I personally know from facts, having mages in pre-LK blues with 816 sp thinking they should go to a naxx is a laughing matter...
Elitist Jerk - 50% - You are wrong to think that people should get out of your 25-Mans, like you say, you don't pug, they aren't in your 25 mans, they are in someone elses'. You want to be on top, you get your [Realm First -- ]. It is displayed to your whole realm, and no one will forget it. Virtual Dragon Slayers got it on mine, but then again, it was no EU-Magtheridon 4 days xpac release.
As my own two cents:
I LOVE wiping on new bosses that are very hard, it makes the day of actually killing him even better. Wiping in NAXX40 at sixty for weeks made killing the boss the best thing ever.
I do also agree that Sunwell was way to difficult, it turned it more into a game of perfection, which no one likes. You should be able to adapt, not be expected to perform with no error whatsoever, that makes you a robot, not a human.
People need to stop crying, both sides, not just the elitist, not just the casual.
Casual != Bad
Elitist != The Best
Retards == Retards
The Best == The Best
However Elitists can be casual and be good
Everyone get over yourself, stick with your friends, and let bigons be bigons.
I really am tired of this argument, and I just want it to end...
Feb 5th 2009 1:49PM If you could go ahead and tell me how any of that to prot warriors is a nerf, I'd greatly appreciate that.
Feb 3rd 2009 8:58AM @rosencratz
Way to take everything in the world out of context.
I never said, don't do achievements, I never said your shouldn't go back an do those quests, I did say however, they require no try testament of skill. I didn't see one thing in any of my statements that say don't play the game, /uninstall...I simply said, if you do achievements that require no skill, you shouldn't 'flaunt' them.
I don't raid that much, I don't pvp that much, but when I see someone in greens flaunting a loremaster achievements to one of the top players on my server, you don't think he should get poked at?
I will defend myself, if you all believe I am wrong, I will still defend myself. Opinions ftw.
I never said quit.
I never said don't for the achievement.
I never said play the game a certain way.
Take my quotes out of context you republican.
All I said was, Achievements are a waste of time. If you have to go for them in order to be satisfied, you should think of getting a new game...not to be mistaken with find a new game and quit.

See, I like that your rediscovering your roots and visiting places you never experience...look at page 5 of the comments.
"I am so excited for loremaster
only 400 quests to go /wrists"
(or sumtin like that)
If you want to go back and look at the lore that you missed that is 100% ok in my book.
If you go back to specifically and intentionally get a title...my posts refer to you.
I raced to 80, I will admit that, I went back and did all the quests i missed afterwards to indulge in some awesome lore. But I didn't go back for "an awesome title", because to be frank, it isn't awesome at all...
Feb 2nd 2009 9:47AM Did I say how to play your game?
Did I say that I think he's been playing since day 1?
No, I said that you wasted your time getting an achievement that has no impact on the game. I don't care if you get the achievement, it's your $15 dollars and you can do with it what you want.
The game of Tetris requires you to create your own puzzle and somehow fit all the pieces, it requires it you make it last as long as possible creating a 'high score', so, in turn, getting a high score is playing the game. So by MY 'logic' I think that his high score means he is good at the game, because he is able to create that high score.
I never once made fun of him for having the 'Loremaster' achievement. I simply stated that doing that achievement had no impact on his character. It shows no significance of skill, all it shows is that he has a lot of free time.
Rosencratz, if you want to troll because I gave my opinion on a broken attempt at giving players a sense of pride by giving them easy achievements and tiny titles to boost not the 'casual' player, but in general the 'bad' player, then do so.
Tayas has a lot of good titles to choose from, seeker, adal, naaru, frozen wastes, those show skill and from what I will assume, has seen TBC endgame content I applaud him greatly, and will never understand why he chose 'Loremaster' when 'Champion of the Frozen Wastes' is cooler, and shows great skill...
Now everyone that disagrees -> LET THE FLAMING BEGIN!
Feb 2nd 2009 8:51AM Achievements: Showing how much of a life you really don't have.
Unless it took you all those quests to get to your level cap, you wasted your time for no reason. This is when you should notice that World of Warcraft has no longer become a game for you, instead your way of life. I don't mind raiding achievements as they show your skill in being able to handle the task at hand. But the fact that you went back to do quests for very little reasons, means that you need to find a new hobby. Kid on my server was bragging about his 'loremaster' achievement, and rightly got flamed for wasting hours upon hours of time killing mobs 40 levels lower then him.
If this game has gotten so tedious to doing these achievements, then find a new game.
That being said, 'The Undying' and 'The Immortal' are the only titles I will go for, those show a true test of skill, and not how long can you go two shotting creeps before you die of boredom.
