Aug 3rd 2009 9:39AM Really though, a GL ought to know better.
You won't find a lot of players that are sympathetic to this kind of thing, since they had to go through the grind:
Before easier XP.
Before dungeon, quest and mob nerfs.
Mar 9th 2009 3:41AM BTPNTC = epic failure on Blizzard's part.
My 80 Rogue has been relegated to a banking alt, and my Death Knight has taken his place.
--- start rant
Why bring a leatherwearing class that does more or less the same damage as a plate wearer that can OT in a flash. The same applies to Mages and Locks, which at least brings some utility.
Ok, so if BTPNTC is important to them, why not remove classes altogether from the game. One-size-fits-all generic "Player" class, that can (a) DPS (b) Heal (c) Tank (d) Buff.
Oh, right, those are Druids/Pallys. Totally my bad. Lucky for them, they can re-spec - not to mention dual specs.
In the meantime, us pure DPS classes can spec for *both* PVE and PVP.
... unfortunately we still die when a Ret Pally or a DK so much as look our way.
--- end rant
Supposedly Rogue DPS will scale better with endgame gear - unfortunately, until that happens, we are the least desirable class to bring to raids and that begs the question: how are we supposed to gear for Ulduar if we have trouble getting into raids?
Either give us more utility, or make good on the promises about "who should do the most dps". The current system is broken, fix it. What is the point of doing the most dps once end of endgame has been reached?
Until then our shadowy brethren will be gathering dust in banks across Azeroth.
