Yeah, that blue post was what inspired my post. If they bring it down to fairly reasonable amount of damage, I'll be happy, but I guess I just don't see why Blizzard insists on making the belt tinkers actively dangerous to use. If their goal is to make sure that the tinkers are never wholly reliable, wouldn't just making it so something trigger them did absolutely nothing accomplish the same goal, but without being quite so annoying for us Engineers.
Apr 29th 2011 12:09PM Do you think Blizzard will ever take out the malfunctions on the Engineering belt tinkers? It's quite annoying that I don't use my Nitro Boosts much because there's a significant chance that using them will kill me.
I can understand the position that the tinkers should not be 100% reliable. But does the tinker have to be deadly when it doesn't work? Couldn't it just blow the cooldown without anything happening? I suspect I'm far from the only Engineer who would enjoy the profession more if it didn't insist on killing me so much.
Apr 28th 2011 7:25PM Looking forward to finally having Veteran Nanny done with this year.
Has anything happened to the Northrend orphan quests? Last year they weren't repeatable, so you were stuck with the orphan pet you got the first time through, and I dunno if that's just how it's supposed to work or if they couldn't fix it in time. Any chance I'll finally be able to get my Wolvar orphan?
Apr 28th 2011 1:19PM Anyone else concerned that we've heard nothing about a second raid in this tier? I remember some of the datamining earlier implied that the rumored Caverns of Time raid was a likely choice, but Blizzard seems strangely mum on the topic. I hope they stick by their stated goal of having multiple raids per tier.
Apr 27th 2011 6:41PM Any word on who we're doing the daily quests for? Is it just the Guardians of Hyjal, or do we get a new faction like we usually do for these hubs? I'm sure there'll be some nice rewards to go along with the dailies, but I know for me at least that having another reputation to get to exalted with would give me the extra incentive to get them done.

When I'm playing as Enhancement (I'm usually Resto), I consider helping out healing as part of my standard toolbox. I toss my Gift of the Naaru onto the tank whenever I can, and use my Maelstrom Weapon stacks to toss out Healing Rains when it's needed.
Wanting a complicated rotation isn't about who has the bigger epeen. It's about finding your class and spec's playstyle engaging (and as I said, your mileage may very; I find most other DPS specs dull to play, others clearly feel differently) and playing as well as you can.
Apr 26th 2011 1:23PM As someone who gravitates toward the more complicated (and I'd argue interesting, but your mileage may vary) specs in the game, I really hope this doesn't herald some gutting of our spellbooks. The thing I love about playing my Enh shaman is the six or seven buttons I always need to be pressing, plus all the short cooldowns I need to manage every minute or two. My Prot warrior is a blast to play because he has so many tools, and the difference between single-target and AoE is smooth enough that it's easy to transition during a fight but feels like I'm doing something significantly different.
Four abilities is considered a pretty good place to be? BORING!
Apr 25th 2011 7:32PM Oh man, I love the Prophet's hair, the combination of the dreadlocks and the mohawk. Wish that option were available to player characters.
Apr 24th 2011 2:55PM I think the reason we don't have ring slots for every finger is that the races don't have a consistent number of fingers. Most of the races have the standard human number, four fingers and a thumb, but gnomes and goblins have three fingers, while trolls and tauren have only two. Imagine if trolls had four less gear slots than orcs, that'd never be balanced.
