Jan 28th 2011 9:17PM Tbh, I am not sure I'd take trade chat on The Shu' all that seriously (I'm sure one could insert their server in place of Shu'halo). Having played on the server the majority of the time its been around (went live Jan. '07? and I've played since April '07), about 2 years now each faction, I came to the conclusion that reading and/or believing what is said in /2 is like watching a train wreck right before your eyes. Kinda like that terribly long sentence I just typed.
Zhiva may have a point. It may be the comments were intended in the manner Zhiva suggested.
Moral of the story, don't read too much of /2 or our realm forums for that matter. Save your brain cells.
Jan 24th 2011 1:11PM I think my favorite title is still Twilight Vanquisher. Sure now you can get a group and zerg it, and have been able to since 3.1?, but I acquired it when it was still relevant content prior to 3.1 . Not to mention, the date I got it was on, of all days, April Fool's Day. The reason its special to me is because only 7 guilds even successfully did Sarth 3d prior to 3.1's release on my server. I think the guild I was in was 5th or 6th on the server, and 3rd (last) of our faction to pull it off.
Jan 9th 2011 2:03PM I actually look up raid specs and start going with that as I level. The absolute latest I do that is when I can obtain dual spec. If I want a goof-off leveling/pvp spec, I have that for questing, but all instances are done in the 2nd (raid intended) spec. This has both worked well and backfired, depending on the class/spec. I actually find it fun, plus I learn alot about the spec as I level. I find personally it gives me a leg up on the "competition". I tend to do better than a lot of fresh max level toons (at least early on until they work the bugs out).
Definately not the way I'd recommend most to approach leveling and not a new player for sure, but it works for me. Mostly.
Jan 2nd 2011 2:01PM The mouse buttons, so many of them (without being too many) mmmmmmmm, yum. Headset looks nice too. I like the zboard I have, but omg I wants it all nonetheless!
Nov 8th 2010 3:41PM Justice Points will be earned through Cata Heroics (my understanding is that Valor points will only be given for the daily Heroic like frosts were prior to 4.01 ) to purchase blue quality items to either get into heroics (the JP we are farming now) or used on gear (blue quality) to start the first tier of raiding when Cata hits. Valor Points will be earned in raids which then can be used on filler epics that people haven't gotten in raids. When T11 content is finished and T12 content comes out, the items previiously purchased with Valor points will be made available to purchase with Justice points. Justice points will basically be used for the starter/previous tier items instead of introducing a new point system per new raid content.
Oct 19th 2010 6:28AM I have not really read any of the WoW novels, though I may have to give this new one a try. I wanted to read Stormrage until I noticed the author, and also read a few reviews about it, which just didn't make it seem interesting enough for me to read. Now, I've read Knaak before, I believe when he was doing Forgotten Realms/Dragonlance novels and frankly I didn't like his work then (10-15 yrs ago?) so I've since steered clear of any novel he does (fair or not, I mean maybe he got better? lol).
This review sold me on getting this. I am interested to see more of the tauren and get a more indepth look at Garrosh. Maybe it'll change people's minds about him, and he might edge out Basic Camp Fire finally.
Oct 17th 2010 12:43PM Its weird, but the first thing I thought of was WWII kamikaze pilots. I blame it on listening to various Japanese bands while reading this.
Honestly, its probably for the best they took out flying vehicles. P3 of Maly seemed to give enough fits for ppl. I am sure aerial combat woulda looked cool if/when you managed to actually hit someone. This of course is a coming from someone who has terrible aim, and had issues shooting down the blue things in Ulduar.
Oct 12th 2010 8:11AM First things first. Getting my main specs in order for at least 3 of my 4 80s (the shaman is retiring for Cata so I am not too worried about figuring out its spec). Priest is the #1 priority followed by both the DK and Hunter, though I'm starting to favor the hunter once again. After that, its all about assessing what glyphs need changed/updated and putting the DK to work making what is needed.
Then its off to heroics to relearn healing. Which should be fun. I am actually looking forward to it. Maybe I'll be forced to actually use something other than PoM and Renew (fresh 80 tanks do take a lil more healing than that, but decently geared tanks don't require alot more, nor does mindful dps).
After that..maybe I'll take the hunter for a spin in a random or work on all 3's secondary specs. Oh, and if the pre-Cata events start (can't recall if they do) then I'll have to check them out..Whoa what a busy night I'll have XD I'm excited!
Oct 11th 2010 7:20AM What is the reforging exchange rate like? For instance, my wand has hit on it. I don't need it, and want to change it to a more useful stat. I assume we aren't going to get a 1 to 1 ratio, but is the exchange rate a flat one, or does it vary from stat to stat, item to item, etc?
Oct 9th 2010 4:40PM I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I thought in a previous The Queue (or elsewhere on WoW Insider) it was said that Cata would be available from the start as a digital download and only the Collector's Edition had to be purchased from a physical store/Amazon. If this is right, then you should be able to purchase it from the blizzard store upon launch. No crowds! No Waiting!
