Nov 24th 2010 7:53PM Actually, I play wow over a 3g cellular network and have been for a couple years. Works fine as long as the weather isn't exactly wrong.
I usually have low yellow ping; not going to be winning srs PvP responsetime contests, but it's fine for getting out of the fire.
However, WoW itself is actually lower bandwidth than this sort of app - a remote app like this doesn't just tell you 'display this model doing this' it has to ship you the fully rendered image. And also, configuration would probably be much simpler on the same network as your desktop running wow, to avoid firewall issues. So I can't imagine it'd work very well 'in the field' as it were.
