Apr 30th 2009 10:40PM "An herbalist" is quite valid because the h is not pronouced, as opposed to other words such as "hero" or "happen". "A herbalist" is as unpleasant to the ear as "an hero" would be.

WoW Patch 3.1 PTR: Death Knight glyphs and undocumented changes {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 10:33PM Eliah,

Just curious: your comments on the fact that the increased speed of the Improved Unholy Presence is useless outside of PvP makes me wonder if you raid at all?

It's a well established fact that even the slightest increase in speed translates into an increase in DPS for any boss fight that requires you to move for more than a few seconds. Extending this to the entire raid means a significant DPS boost for everyone.

And I'm not even talking about the simple benefits of moving faster, such as avoiding lava walls, void zones and or Other Stuff That Hurts in general.

This talent alone is enough to justify always having an Unholy DK in your raid.

Nov 19th 2008 2:36PM A bit sad that this skill only becomes available at 80, when you no longer need to level, which is where this ability would shine.

It seems to me FoK won't be very useful for raiding, cooldown or not, since it doesn't even add a combo point.

Nov 19th 2008 1:02PM I don't think Combat is that much worth it for leveling. You get an occasional AoE boost with Blade Flurry or Murder Spree, but it's not available enough to justify this build. For leveling, you want burst and fast combo point generation.

I respecced ShadowStep + Cold Blood for leveling, and while my DPS in instances is half of what it used to be in Sunwell, mobs usually fall after three or four hits. A crit Ambush hits for 4-4.5k and a crit Eviscerate is in the 5k at level 75.

I basically shadowstep from mob to mob and with the Medallion of Heroism (reward from the Wrath gate) that gives me 2000 health back every 2mn and the blue dagger reward from the Amphitheatre in Zul Drak, I hardly even stop to bandage any more.

Nov 12th 2008 12:00PM Good info but you are vastly overthinking all this. Anyone with T5+ gear will be shredding mobs until 80, so you might as well pick an exotic spec and have some fun with it until the harsh reality of endgame raiding forces you back into a more sobering DPS dishing configuration.

I leveled Shadowstep+Cold Blood in the beta and I was chuckling with glee all the way to Icecrown. The sheer amount of burst is absolutely wonderful and two crits are all it takes to kill any mob with just three hits. I didn't even bother re-equipping my sword once out of stealth...
