Jun 3rd 2009 3:57PM A rogue in my raid besides myself actually dual spec'd for deadly throw, using it to interrupt with throwing specialization. It actually works amazingly well. Much better than trying to rotate kicks between rogues. Its a decent reduction in DPS but if you tricks of trade its not very noticeable and the other members of the raid don't have to worry about interrupting. On KT he interrupted every single icy blast. Its pretty amazing and I highly recommend it if you have a rogue who doesn't mind spec'ing for it. On razor, stopping the chain lighting from the dwarves is awesome too.
May 13th 2009 5:57PM my favorite in game item was the pumpkin head during halloween. throwing it around was awesome. :)
Apr 1st 2009 9:46AM I didn't read everyone's comments but I LOVE THIS ARTICLE!!!!
I'm was in a guild that was very casual. It was large but still very casual in that most of us didn't really raid that much. We started to do 10 mans btw some of the officers and we started to clear stuff easily as we picked up more gear. When 10 man became boring we tried to do 25 man but found that A) its hard to run a non fail pug B) its hard to change the membership's mentality about raiding C) 25 man isn't that much diff from 10 man and therefore it sucks D) 10 man is in many cases more difficult than 25 as you can't zerg something down if you don't have the gear i.e. 4 horseman.
Trying to become a hardcore 25 man raiding guild, it split us apart and well now things are poopy. If it wasn't for the fact that 25 mans dropped better gear we probably would not have done it and risk the health of the guild.
If anything they should drop the same loot but just have 25 man drops become more frequent or add more bosses in 25 man content or something so that you have more chances as a player to pick up more gear in 25 mans for the time you spend in there not better loot!!! Even if it means making the raid a bit harder in 10 man to balance out the raids, meaning they take the same amount of time to complete.
The way it is right now just leaves 10 man guilds hanging. PLEASE BLIZZARD CHANGE IT. I want my guild back.
Mar 5th 2009 3:00PM Hmm...yea i can see that now. Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I dunno i play the auction house so i see the inflation sometimes but it rarely shifts the prices to the point where i feel like its ridiculous...so i guess right now its not a major component but i can see where it could lead to.
Mar 5th 2009 2:42PM not to sound newbish or anything but...
why is gold selling made a violation of terms by blizzard? I mean is it only a violation because someone else is getting money that should be theirs? why don't they just sell gold then and drive these companies out?
my point is, whats the diff btw these companies farming gold, hacking gold or whatever vs lets say a guild collecting gold for guild dues and using that to buy a guildie something nice like a mount or something, or guilds selling Sarth 3D runs for gold, or who knows maybe even real money? or even a friend who farms gold for another friend and the receiving friend throws the farmer some real money or buys him or her a gift in real life?
just trying to understand the logic here.
Feb 20th 2009 4:12PM i don't know guys...if this team is good enough to get this much coverage by anyone including wowinsider..that means that they must be a note worthy team, probably a pro team, pro teams that could probably wipe the floor with about 90% of the people that post here.
So if they have something to say...then I'm more inclined to listen to them. This isn't to say that you guys don't know what you're talking about...if you think your 1900 rating is good enough to think you know what youre talking about...you should probably consider that arena play at 2200+ rating probably is a bit different.
And as someone echoed balance issues will always be here on wow as long as they keep pvp and pve together so if you can't beat the DK...either join them or just PVE. but if u still want to play arena just try to enjoy it and take it for what it is...nerfs and buffs are coming, a month from now we could be complaining about something totally different.
Feb 20th 2009 3:41PM exactly my sentiment. the fact that DKs can DPS on par or even higher than most classes while wearing plate is just ridiculous. No matter what skill level you are at...you're starting the fight already at a disadvantage. If two people of the same skill rolled a shaman and a DK lets say...the shaman would get pulverized, heaven forbid its a lock...do ppl even arena with locks anymore? i feel like all the locks went and rolled DKs.
Feb 20th 2009 3:18PM omg for the love of GOD Blizzard pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaassssseeeeeeee separate PVP and PVE. I can't take it anymore.
DKs are OP, every top team in the world has a DK in it...so quit saying that you're not OP and hit them with the nerf bat already, and as for rogues QQing...rogues are QQing out of the frustration of DKs and Pallys being OP not because they are no longer OP. So while u still have understandable bitterness from former rogue OPness rogues are on your side now mages, locks, and other squishy classes. NERF THE PLATE and UP THE SQUISHY!
Feb 20th 2009 1:22PM I know people have said this in the past, but just separate PVP and PVE already.
I mean if they're going to go and put something like changing the duration of poisons in PVP only...then why not just do it for all abilities? Is it really that hard to come up with separate traits for abilities for PVP?
This is the only way to shut ppl up so ppl that want to PVE only can PVE and PVP only can PVP or switch in btw without complaining about their burst or DPS etc etc. It would also give locks, priests and whoever a chance to perform equally on both sides of the playing field and then maybe we can see some variety in the top 20 list instead of DK/PALLY, DK/DK, and PALLY/PALLY.
Feb 19th 2009 6:37PM EPIC FAIL
Wipe at least once on every boss in a 25 man raid.
Lose your epic tier 7.5 drop to a pug who did no dps/heal or tank for the entire fight and died at the beginning of the boss encounter.
