Jul 16th 2009 6:00PM Actually the damage is pretty good, revenge can hit for 40% of a mobs life, shield slam is pretty good too. I find myself simply mowing down mobs like you wouldnt believe.
(i did get a nice sword and shield out of scarlet monastery though, i spose that helps)

It just so happens im leveling a warrior at the moment and maybe leveling as fury or arms has a downtime problem but i i have to say i have little to no downtime at all leveling as prot warrior. The only time when i take a meaningfull amount of damage (read more then 20%) is when i overpull 4 or 5 mobs of my own level. And that damage can quickly be healed with a lifeblood (herbalism trait) or a bandage.
I think if they do buff block by the insane amount people have suggested, normal pve for a prot warrior is going to be trivial (like how leveling a blood DK is today)

Jul 12th 2009 9:30AM Now guild wars also had region wide servers.
They also made it so you can switch regions with the press of a button.
To avoid overloading a certain regions server in a capital/trade city they made a cap on the max number of people in one instance of the city aka districts.
so for example you could have the EU server for one certain trade city, lots of people go there to sell/buy stuff. If more then say 100 people are in the city, a new district (instance) of the city is made and the first district is closed to new people.
Then as the new district fills up another one is made available. if people from the first district left it, then people could enter that instance again.
IMO this worked perfectly there, but only for an instanced game...
(obviously you cant make copies of dalaran on 1 server, and making cities instanced is not gonna happen)
