Ghostcrawler on the success of "bring the player not the class" {WoW}

Feb 27th 2009 11:20AM "Encounters are being designed so that no one single class is necessary, although the 25-man Razuvious fight currently requires at least one priest, preferably two or three, with at least one specced shadow. "

While I understand your point there are other ways to complete this fight without any priests at all. Afew raid lockouts ago I was in a 25 man that lost both of our priests right before this particular fight. We completed the fight by having our 4 hunters aggro kite Razuvious with Distracting Shot while a DK with 2 assigned healers tanked the adds. Afew priests is by far the easiest way of doing this fight, however, after 3 wipes I have to admit, the non-sequiter way in which we completed this particular right ranks ups as one of my fonder memories of 25 man nax... and all this from a pug!

WoW Rookie: Will my computer run WoW? {WoW}

Jan 28th 2009 6:49PM Just to add a little to Jurandr's post.

When it comes to ram going over 4gig on a 32 bit Microsoft based operating system is superfluous, as their 32 bit opperating systems can only give 4gigs worth of memory addresses. Sure the sky is the limit, however, on a 32 bit os anything > 4 gig is a waste.

When it comes to the graphics cards the PCI-E 16 (not to be confused with PCI-X, just for clarification) will give more bandwith then a PCI-E 1. Chances are if you have an AGP board you will not have a PCI-E slot, however, on the off chance that you do, the PCI-E will offer you a better upgrade path than the AGP.

Afew other things people can do that were not mentioned to increase performance (at the expense of aesthetics) are to lower anti-aliasing and anistrophic filtering, as well as lower the resolution setting your are currently using.
