Jul 20th 2011 4:52AM If you type too much for one line, that fast, then I think you should be more focused on WHAT you're saying, rather than how much and how fast.
If you're just ranting long sentences or spamming short ones, then this change is aimed at you.
Slow down, relax. Conversations are supposed to be meaningful and impart valuable information.

Well, I thought I did, as I've been following every guide I can get my hands on. But, as my shaman is primarily resto, I've never been too worried about my dps when I'm learning fights as elemental with friends.
Jul 16th 2011 9:04PM Ragnaros became leader because of strength. Al'akir presumably the same, or perhaps intelligience.
I'd expect a little infighting, but they already infight as is. The best elemental will take control.
Jul 16th 2011 9:01PM With the better tabard you should be revered by 85 just from questing, so long as you don't quest more than the weekly cap.
I did this on a character without a guild until 68, and without the better tabard until 73.
Jul 16th 2011 8:30PM Are these top performers damage-wise or where their raid group has gotten to?
It doesn't mean much if you keep wiping because the mage is too busy doing l337 dps to play the encounter properly and help the team win. I'd expect the top performers with the highest difficulty of kills under their belt have something a bit different.
Jul 16th 2011 8:06PM As a former arcane mage, now shaman healer.. Healing is easier.
Both are about managing mana versus what's going on. Can I afford to do that right now, can I go all out? As a healer it's about when to let someone die because I'm low on mana and they're taking more damage than the tank for no good reason. As arcane it's about how quickly something needs taken down and if I should worry about that spell they're casting. Healing is absolutely easier than handling mana as Arcane.
And you know why? Because dps is COMPETITIVE. If I'm not top dps in the raid, I'm doing it wrong. Healing is just about keeping people alive, and those people help make sure that happens by potting, cooldowns, and keeping out of things. Everyone else is against you as an arcane mage, they want your crown. People are alot more forgiving if they die, so long as it's not the tank.
Jul 16th 2011 7:55PM "Saying you sue spell steal, remove curse and ply and such does not realy count. They are the exception to the rotation not the normally cast spells."
Are you up against things that have stealable buffs or interruptible casts? Then you should be using those two spells every chance you get. It's much like an aoe rotation, you do what you can because it works better. And the mana spent on them is part of what makes Arcane interesting, can you afford to waste the mana here and lose your damage buff from having high mana?
Arcane had its overhaul, and raids are where it shines. Yes, it's less button pressy, but it's not easier. Long term fights become a big deal to know how best to spend your mana to keep maximum damage flowing out. 5-mans are simply about blowing your wad into the open mouth of the town whore, it doesn't matter if you have to take viagra afterwards because you can afford to.
Jul 16th 2011 7:43PM "Also IMO, cds though a vital part of playing your class and SHOWING YOU HAVE CLASS, should not be considered part of your rotation."
Say that to cat druids. Berserk and Tiger's Fury are to be part of your rotation unless something else becomes more important at that moment. They absolutely maximize your ability to do anything else other than swinging away.
I would argue the self-buffs and mana regaining cooldowns of an Arcane mage can be just as important, as the spec is all about maximizing your dps versus your resources. Do the most as quickly as possible while maintaining as much of your resources as you can.
Obviously unleash weapon isn't part of an elemental Shaman's rotation because it's a cooldown, you should just pop it whenever without regard for lava burst. As well as popping elemental mastery whenever, because we wouldn't want to rotate ourselves into instant critting lava bursts on near clockwork precision due to cooldown timers.
Jul 12th 2011 12:51AM I'd be more interested if the things he's doing in the book were actually reflected in the game.
From the game's perspective he's left the Horde after Org gets totally changed (with his old house in ruins and no npc mention of it) then stood around in the rain for months supposedly holding shit together (hello, two other shaman visible there doing the same damn thing, no one talks about them) only for us to find out in the rage of the firelands trailer that he's been attempting to communicate with the spirits and may have finished his important holding duty after like a week of starting. Then we're in Hyjal where everyone has a hardon for this new plan that is ultimately forgotten when Thrall can't even fight back or ghost wolf or bloodlust. (Seriously, imagine if he'd called a bloodlust on all those lore heroes.) So we go save his ass so he can realize he wants to marry his girlfriend, and forgets about the plan entirely. Then off we go, carrying the invasion of the firelands while Thrall is busy picking out his kitchen countertops.
Atleast when he was in Org you could say he was defending from Alliance raids. Now he's done next to nothing of importance and we're getting ANOTHER book about how important he is to us all. He didn't even do anything important in the last one! You'd think they could have tossed some text in, considering what little he did do wouldn't have required A GOD DAMN THING CINEMATICALLY.
Garrosh is atleast SHOWING UP TO DO SHIT NOW. So yeah, Thrall books can piss off.
Jul 12th 2011 12:29AM Other art has had it for awhile, as well as teeth rings (like bands around his teeth).
Also, he's apparently one of the only two Orcs with double tusks according to art (not just little canines like seen above but ones almost the same size as the teeth all Orcs have.) The other being Garrosh who has a mouth full of canines.
There are alot of things like that done in the art that makes me wish they'd realize the players want that instead of a badly done fauxhawk on our trolls.
