Dec 6th 2009 9:59PM Mammoth Meat:

easiest place I have found for this is Sholazzar Basin between the burning drake area and the undead area. The Mammoths there drop 1 piece guaranteed and most of the time they drop 2 (got to be about 60% of the time at worst). There is 1 wandering herd and a bunch of singulars. As a prot warrior I find I get a good rythym going with cooldowns (charge, shockwave and thunderclap etc) going from Mammoth to Mammoth and have no problems with the herds at all (other than having to string them out to make looting easier).

Phat Loot Phriday: Jeweled Fishing Pole {WoW}

Nov 1st 2009 9:15PM Nice how they give fishing poles Feral Attack Power so droods aren't hampered by having to switch to bear/cat to kill that annoying mob that interupted your fishing but us warriors just have to wail away at it and can't use any of our special attacks (ALL require a melee weapon! or a shield) without switching weapons. Why can't they be classed as melee weapons too :(


ok so really I just want to be able to dual wield two of the Kal'uak fishing poles as Fury :)

How the "Summon Memory" fight in the Trial of the Champion should have been done {WoW}

Aug 11th 2009 10:33PM These are just a quick set of options and would have to be better balanced for damage but instead of shadows of the past they could have each cast (normal/heroic):

Memory of Archimonde
Doomfire: Trail of fire on the ground that does 1,250/1,750 fire damage per second on first tick and does less with every following tick. Fire resistance does not affect this effect.

Memory of Cromaggus
Frost Burn: Frontal cone Attack - Attack speed reduced by 50%/70%. Does approximately 1,000/1,250 Frost damage.

Memory of Cyanigosa
Blizzard: lasts 8 sec, inflicting 1500 Frost damage every 2 sec. and slowing the movement speed of all enemies in a selected area by 40%.

Memory of Delrissa
Shadow Word: Pain: Places a debuff on an enemy dealing 100 Shadow damage every 3 seconds, or 150 damage on heroic for 18 sec.

Memory of Eck
Eck Spit: spits toxic bile at enemies in a cone in front of him, inflicting 1,000/1,200 Nature damage and draining 120/200 mana every 1 sec for 3 sec.

Memory of Entropius
Negative Energy: Deals 1,000/1,500 Shadow damage to all enemies.

Reverberation: Occasional zone-wide silence for 4 seconds.

Whirlwind: Attacks nearby enemies in a whirlwind of steel that inflicts normal damage plus 100.

Head Butt: Stuns an enemy, rendering it unable to move or attack for 4 sec.

Impending Doom: Inflicts 3,000/4,000 Shadow damage to all nearby enemies (30y) after 10 seconds.

Shadow Nova: Range of 30 yards. Deals 2000/2,800 shadow damage and includes a knockback.

Memory of Mutanus
Thundercrack: Inflicts 900/1,300 Nature damage to nearby enemies (30y), stunning them for 2.50 sec.

Memory of Onyxia
Flame Breath: Inflicts 2,000/3,000 Fire damage to enemies in a cone in front of the caster.

Memory of VanCleef
Thrash: Instantly attack all targets in melee range inflicting 1,200/1,600 damage.

Memory of Vashj
Forked Lightning: Random bolts of lightning that hit for 2,300/2,600 nature damage in a frontal cone. Not resistible.

Memory of Vek'nilash
Unbalancing Strike: Inflicts 350% weapon damage and leaves the target unbalanced, reducing their defense skill by 100 for 6 seconds.

Memory of Vezax
Aura of Despair: Prevents most mana regeneration methods. Melee attack speed is reduced by 20% for all party members as well.

Ran UP 20 times and never saw the sword until went as a dps tag along - luckily was a bear tank so no need for the sword :)

Shaman (Enhance):
Ran Nexus 3 times = 3 bracer drops
Ran CoS 3 times = 3 fist weapon drops
Ran CoS 1 extra time and comment from tank was "not trying for timed run" we of course do the timed run and I get the mount :)

Warrior never gets first time drops whereas shaman gets them all the time!

Two Bosses Enter: Drakos the Interrogator vs. Salramm the Fleshcrafter {WoW}

May 7th 2009 9:36PM As a tank I've not had aproblem with either of them (shockwave is great for keeping the ghouls close so they damage me rather than the squidgies in the back keeping me up) and I find it easy to avoid the bombs.

I think Salaram has this one in the bag because he has a better range of damage dealing and debuffing. Would really depend on timing though. Thundering Stomp and Magic pull should both interupt casting and so could really ruin Mr Fleshcrafter's day but used badly and it is goodnight Drakos (Magic pull after ghoul summon then have Sal put em to the torch all in close range followed up by a curse and a couple of shadow bolts)

WoW Rookie: The art of conducting business in [2:Trade] {WoW}

May 1st 2009 12:32AM My personal wish is for my friends list to have a comments section and an ability to share between all of my toons on that server. I have 10 toons on my main server, my wife has 10, a lot of my friends who aren't all in my main guild also have 10 (or close to) toons and so I find it annoying when I can't remember which of my friends' toon is which if they haven't played it for 3-4 months and are taking some time off to play an alt. Then also that Blacksmith I bought some sweet mail off of ages ago on my warrior, was that or or maybe it was ... come to think of it why did I make or or a friend??

Ask a Lore Nerd: Fallout {WoW}

Apr 16th 2009 4:45AM I would suggest that the 'Old God' destroyed and left as skeletal remains in Darkshore was most likely killed by one of the other 'Old Gods' if a Titan couldn't have done it. There were supposed to be 5 'Old Gods' with C'Thun and Yogg'Saron being the only explicitly named ones. Given the inconsitancy in the lore for the old gods (3,4 or 5 of them imprisoned on Azeroth) I'd would suggest that 2 are dead (C'Thun and the remains at Master's Glaive), 1 is to be killed (Yogg'Saron in Ulduar) and the other 2 are left unamed at present.

I read on Wowwiki that Hakkar The Soulflayer is an 'Old God' as well and that he is involved with the Emerald Dream which I also read somewhere is supposed to be one of the future expansions (if not the next one) which would give us 1 left.

Argent Tournament dailies: The Edge of Winter {WoW}

Apr 7th 2009 9:22PM Is it the regular 'random' daily (eg everyone gets the same 'random' daily on a particular day) or is it finally truely random? I wish things like the heroic/normal instance dailys were random for each person but they aren't (shareable in group so everyone can do the same daily but still limited to one of each per day).
