Apr 2nd 2009 9:22AM We've been getting that going on 5 years now, it's time for the little things.
My only experience with player housing is in SWG, and it was implemented badly. Structures would decay over time and you had to have a reservoir of money in it to keep it from being destroyed. But eventually the economy got so inflated people could put 20 years on their house and not bat an eye. Then, all those same people quit the game and there are literally hundreds of ghost towns across the servers just reating lag and server strain.
The way the do player housing is like Phantasy Star Universe, instance portals to your own location. Having static houses all around the world would not only not work because of the lack of space but would also increase the lag/server strain on busy days.
Mar 23rd 2009 8:45PM Everyone crying about this is getting what they deserve. Developing an addon shouldn't have ever been more than a hobby. The Questhelper guy said he would put it on his resume. Ha!
"I developed an addon for WoW and when I couldn't scam people for the work I do in my free time I quit like a baby."
As far as I know, the language these things are written in is very simple and easy to work with. Making an addon is probably incredibly easy.
Mar 20th 2009 9:08PM What does the pay-for version of carbonite have that the free one doesn't?
Mar 14th 2009 8:29AM I'm guessing at least 3 more weeks from next Tuesday before we either get a date or 3.1.
Feb 26th 2009 5:32PM It's 310% instead of the 280% like the other mounts.
Feb 26th 2009 5:12PM Does anyone even have the black protodrake? I haven't seen any on my server.
Feb 23rd 2009 11:42AM My guild went through and did the T6 raids with relative ease, we had a bunch of people only because everyone wanted the achievement. I know we blew through a whole lotta stuff pretty easy, but there were some fights that still needed to be played like they were intended. For instance we didn't have a mage for Illidari Council and as a 7.5 geared tank I got one-shotted by the mage.
We did however kill Illidan before he got to go into demon form, and killed Kil'Jaeden before we needed more than one dragon shield.
Feb 3rd 2009 5:43PM I'm gonna say BS on this interview. He uses a lot of readily available information to spout off nonsense as fact. Here's a line I like:
"but for all the t8 one of the themes we kind of worked with is that they're dealing with the undead plague - that's why the hunters have gas masks, the warlocks are plague doctors, etc. The deal with paladins is that they say "Fuck your plague, I'm purifying you in fire."
He uses the for sure T8 sets from the MMOchampion video and puts his made up paladin set in there to make it seem like what he's saying is true.
Jan 30th 2009 1:42PM Looks huge, hopefully it's hard enough where it's not beaten in 2-3 days after it's released. Hopefully they stick to their word and won't release it all (at once) on the PTR.
