Dec 13th 2009 10:55AM The problem with phasing an entire zone is that it effectively transforms the the game into a Massively SINGLEPLAYER game. In most cases, only you will be on a particular stage of the zones phase, and questing with bud would have to become a coordinated ordeal.
All though, I do agree it could be used more often on a strictly visual level. For instance, a small village that was once ransacked by furbolgs could be restored to its former charm after you've taken care of the problem.
Aug 22nd 2009 6:30PM I forsee hundreds of people STILL unable to get into an instance... but now because every stubborn elitest punk will want their "leader rewards".
Jul 18th 2009 3:41PM Yes I know all that... but you're refering to the events before the fall of Quel'thalas. All of that lore occured before the actual gameplay in WoW. Afterward, they had no alligence to either faction. If you actually read my post, I'm talking about WoW pre-TBC. During the vanilla WoW era, there were just as many High Elf quest-givers for the Horde as the Alliance... sounds pretty neutral to me, as short-lived as it was. Those quest-givers remain neutral, yet we have an entire faction of Blood Elves now siding with the Horde... and none of us have any problem with that, because Blizzard tied it all together with a tight and seamless storyline.
As for the goblins, there's absolutely no reason why Blizzard cannont tie them to the Horde with a solid storyline as well. As I've suggested in my last post, "Perhaps it will be the Horde who take the initative to assist The Undermine in their defense against the Naga in the Goblin starting-zone quests." It would seem to me that securing the continuaty of your capital city would be an excellent financial investment, don't you think?
Jul 18th 2009 10:59AM GOBLIN!
I remember discussing this with my friends way back... speculating that it has always Blizzard's intent to make goblins playble. Just like the High Elves during during pre-TBC, the Goblin character model is all ready designed to use all of the armor sets currently used by the game, and has all the animations necessary to make this possible (including a unique drunken dance animation!).
Furthermore, it would be easy for this race to be taken as a Horde race. Yes they are neutral, but so were the High Elves before they became Blood Elves. The Goblins of the Steamweedle Cartel will always be neutral, just as much as the High Elves of Dalaran. But since the Horde and the Goblins already share a mutual bond to one another, it just makes sense.
Perhaps it will be the Horde who take the initative to assist The Undermine in their defense against the Naga in the Goblin starting-zone quests. Oh I can't wait to see!
I wonder what what the goblin racials would be... +10% effectiveness of explosives??
May 5th 2009 12:06PM Not sure why I'm even trying... I have the worst luck ever... a dozen Naxx runs later, and I still in BC gear. /cry
