Dec 15th 2010 11:13AM Did they remove the XP to gold conversion at max level (85)?
I got to 85 mostly via archaeology and hadn't done Vashj'ir, Uldum or Twilight Highlands. I went to start in on Vashj'ir and the quests only gave 7 gold which is what I was getting plus XP in Mount Hyjal. Quests in Uldum were giving 13 gold, in line with quests at max level of 80, but still seems low. Is it just a general nerf to the conversion of XP to Gold? or is it gone completely?
Nov 17th 2010 3:53PM Ghostcrawler can keep the lap dance. He isn't my type or my preferred gender :P
Nov 17th 2010 3:51PM I agree on the login on a special day being odd, but they could easily reward player anniversaries instead & you don't have to do /played and piss off the anti-game people. Simply run it as a loyalty program, like many MMOs use. You've been subscribed for 72 months? Here is your reward... that sorta thing.
Nov 11th 2010 1:43PM After the druid class review, I successively tanked as a bear during BWL (though a huge squad of warrior tanks, meant I DPSed a lot). Since, at the time, feral weapon AP or its current implementation didn't exist, scaling was a horrible issue. That said, as someone mentioned, nobody could rip threat from me so scaling only mattered for the dps side of things. It sucked to only get a minor boost from new weapons (just the stat boost essentially).
Ultimately, the upgrade/scaling issue got to me & I rerolled rogue since I didn't want to play as a warrior. I haven't looked back, but I wish today's feral existed back then, as I still pine for the days as my cow druid. /moo
Oct 30th 2010 8:54AM ^^ I don't know if that's why I rolled rogue (I think it may have simply been the stealth aspect), but I definitely got hooked doing that. I loved finding the clothies at 50%, ambushing and sprint -> vanishing before the rest of his friends turned around.
Oct 26th 2010 9:41AM My original main, through MC and into BWL, was a druid. Leveling, I loved feral and the shape shifting aspect of the furry druid spec, even if it underperformed in the days preceding the original class reviews. Wanting to see more of the game, I specced resto in order to raid but was never satisfied spamming Healing Touch 4 over and over again. I got them to let me bear tank & kitty dps some stuff in BWL but was thoroughly unimpressed by the lack of druid scaling (for example, my fancy new draconic maul did nothing to improve my DPS as it wasn't a stat boost... bleh). At this point, I asked to swap to rogue & after some reluctance, they gave in & I became #1 DPS in the guild.
Several guilds later, a faction transfer, 2, almost 3 expansions, and 14 level 80s on my current server later and I am still enthralled with my rogue. I kinda wish, sometimes, I had stayed with my feral though as they are now what I wanted them to be so long ago.
Oct 21st 2010 11:14AM When will we be able to start earning guild achievements? I assume 4.03, but couldn't find a blue post specifically mentioning it.
Oct 20th 2010 5:20PM As a GA Tech alum, I approve of this post. However, its a really obscure reference that only Tech students and/or fans would get.
That said, "What's the good word?"
Oct 19th 2010 3:30PM When can we start working towards guild achievements/levels? I assume its 4.03 but do we know yet?
Sep 20th 2010 9:16AM I am also a little miffed at this. Was wondering where the quest was until I saw someone pop up a 2009 FOS. If it has to be green again this year, at least give it another FOS. I've kept all steins so far and would really like a 2010 one to fit on the bank shelf.
