Apr 4th 2010 2:42PM I liked this guy up to the point where he tore into BM hunters. I would hardly call the likes of BRK, Pikestaff and Klinderas "retarded cousins of the hunter community"...
Apr 3rd 2010 2:55PM My only mage languishes at level 14, yet I consider this one of the better posts I've read in some time. Most of it applies to ALL DPSers, not just those who hurl arcane death from their very fingertips as a career.
I especially liked "not dying" and "not being a jerk".
This should be burned into the permanent memory of all mages from now on. I'm levelling a bear druid and you can guarantee that if there's a mage in my 5-man, he'll spam recount after every pull (which he'll generally AoE through), and at some point I'll have to explain that it's his responsibility not to pull off the tank (also that it's not the healer's fault if he pulls and gets instagibbed).
Thank you, Mr. Belt, an excellent post. I also find the number of references to exploding warlocks acceptable.
Apr 2nd 2010 7:03PM I don't think it's at all unreasonable to submit unsolicited recommendations to people, and I can't really agree with JayJay on this. Just because you're not an officer / raid / class leader doesn't mean you can't help out. In my previous guild I would often recieve helpful advice from others which I was always happy to consider (even with me being an officer and they not - I don't consider that a problem). Similarly, I always tried to repay our little community by helping out and training others. Because this was just the way of things in the guild, we had very few problems.
If you offered some advice and it was rejected, I don't believe you've done anything wrong at all - so long as you don't keep pushing that individual!
Apr 1st 2010 10:09AM My brain has been permanently injured by this post.
Although... I suppose it could be my battle.net neural interface...
Aug 25th 2009 9:01AM It's actually rounded up in price quite a bit in the UK. $39 USD is about £24 GBP, but they want £29 for it instead.
Bah. This does not please me. And don't tell me that it's shipping! Australians (across the other side of the damned world) are only paying £27 for it...
Aug 5th 2009 12:52PM As of just now, I'm able to log in. If your server is up but you were unable to get in before give it a try now, hopefully this authentication issue at least is fixed.
Aug 5th 2009 12:38PM I'm actually unable to clear past the login screen, despite the fact that my server is listed as up (and is not included in the extended extended maintenance). Are other people experiencing this, or is it an issue on my end?
Jul 21st 2009 5:28PM Of course, some people have a class already levelled all the way up and are familiar with wow.com, but have never played a caster class before. They could probably use exactly this kind of advice.
Don't you think that's who this article is aimed at, rather than people who are still on trial accounts on their first character who have no idea that there's advice out there, let alone where it is? I think Allison's already stated at some point that this is intended for all those people who are likely to be rolling a druid as an alternate character, having seen the new forms.
Jun 29th 2009 4:51PM Thank you, Blizzard. You did well.
Things like wormhole generators, steam auctioneers, and the best repair bot yet won't increase my raid DPS, but they really genuinely appeal to me - and I suspect, the other people who would traditionally take engineering. That's not to say that its usefulness isn't improved dramatically by these additions and adjustments.
I still may not have the best things if we're solely considering statistics, but I'll be healing vehicles and helping to blow up walls in Wintergrasp, zipping around northrend (with the possible or maybe probable horrible deaths that such engineering devices usually entail) and auctioneering in Dalaran!
WTB Patch 3.2! Also Jeeves schematic...
