Mists of Pandaria Beta: New warlock pets {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2012 9:44AM warlocks seem to be getting much love in this expansion, will make sure to get my lock up to 85 before it arrives! Won't be replacing my priest as a main, but I will have all 10, (11 in MoP) at 85, so 2nd or 3rd alt won't be a bad position for my lock.

Have Group, Will Travel replaced with faster flight paths, flask "Chug-A-Lug" perk removed {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2012 11:40AM so rather than AFK in a city waiting for an invite, we AFK on a flightpath on the way to the instance?

Not sure I follow the logic.

Mists of Pandaria beta showing up on pages {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2012 3:50AM ah the pitfalls of having had multiple accounts, despite playing WoW since 2006, this account has only been running since 2008.

I'm in the annual pass and just updated my beta profile since I built a new computer last year and hadn't opted in before, if I get in does it show up on the front page on the list of active accounts?

Lichborne: Death knight group utility in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 6:56PM Im guessing you didnt play a warlock at level 70. I didn't either, but I tanked and healed on my warrior and (now shadow specced) priest respectively. When farming for the Suneater warlocks were invaluable, Enslave Demon is a fantastic spell in the right setting, enslave 1, banish a 2nd and suddenly that very hard to tank/heal through pack is 2 lighter.

Likewise I loved using mind control in Botanica for the spell power buff, in BRS before Molten Core for the fire res buff and other less memorable places. More recently I used it in Vortex Pinnacle, you can control the healers (adepts?) heal your group up without using your own mana.

Regardless of the style of this spell I imagine you'll be able to find uses for it.

Blue Posts: (More) LFR loot rules clarification, item squish, DotA-style BG, spoilers {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 4:36AM A Dora battleground intrigues me very much. I LOVE league of legends, and I'm picturing playing LoL in WoW graphics on each of my WoW characters. It'd either be everything I've ever wanted or I'd do it once and never go back.

The Queue: I went Alliance again. Shhh. {WoW}

Live WoW Insider Show to talk about the MoP press event, Monday at 1:00 p.m. EST {WoW}

Mar 16th 2012 6:01PM dammit, I clicked hoping to have something to listen to in the bath. Any recommended WoW podcasts other than your own? If not I'll continue my mission of re-reading the Riftwar books.

3 things that need to change about WoW's auction house {WoW}

Mar 16th 2012 9:59AM As a player who sees himself as "reasonably wealthy" (with a target of 1 million by MoP) I'd support an income tax similar to how we have it in the UK. A small amount of income is tax free (about £7000 per annum) and on top of that you pay an increasing percentage as you progress through the tax bands.

eg maybe you can earn 1000g tax free per week, if you earn up to 10k in a week you pay 10% of the taxable amount (ie 900g), if you earn 20k you pay 20% in that band (so you'd pay 0% on the first 1000g, 10% on the next 9k, 20% on the next 10k = 2900g tax) and so on.

Lets not start dishing out Job Seekers Allowance to those that haven't bothered to increase their professions though, there has to be a line somewhere :P

3 things that need to change about WoW's auction house {WoW}

Mar 16th 2012 9:52AM My first experience with an "auction house" in an MMO was in Ultima Online. I played around the time The Third Dawn expansion came around, and for a couple of years before that. There was no ingame auction, and all trade was face to face, but there was a player run website (, I think) that allowed players to either auction items or place buy orders. This was over 10 years ago, seems odd that blizz hasn't added buy orders already - I'm guessing there is a reason, though for the life of me I don't know what it is.

The Queue: Never say no to panda {WoW}

Mar 15th 2012 12:48PM Drinking is like smoking in my opinion, dangerous, expensive, pointless and should be illegal. St. Paddys seems to be a celebration of alcohol more than anything else.

Each to their own, but I like my body disease free :)
