Jan 23rd 2010 8:21AM A few months ago back when Ulduar was the shizz, I joined up with a raiding guild (one of the oldest on our server) and was brought in for a 10man run.
We got as far as Xt when the raid leader at the time was calling out the positioning he wanted us in for the fight, when he got to me and after 20seconds or so of try to say my character name (grahlan) he simply calls out on vent, "ok greylan, your name sorta hurts my face so from now on im gonna call you shammy g."
Needless to say the name stuck, and for the next 3months or so that I raided with him I was shammy g to everyone in the raid.
Btw, if you read this Kaos, where have you been?
Jan 6th 2010 4:52PM Problem: Arena
If you give this ability to another class i.e rogues, it will have Massive reprocussions in arena. Imagine an rmp comp that also has the power to blow a BL, it will cause huge changes to teams.
The same could be said of giving this to a particular profession, if it is made to be usable in arena it will become an absolute necessity for any class who wishes to pvp to take said profession.
Dec 28th 2009 8:51AM The fact that totems aren't counted as spells and can be used during silences ;)
Oh what's that Mr. Mage, yes it does appear that you've silenced me, ahh and I see you plan on casting right about now, well im just gonna go ahead an drop grounding and stoneclaw totem and you keep on keepin' on while i take no damage for a while
Dec 13th 2009 6:11AM Haha I love this idea that "everyone who plays the game has an equal opinion and that because I bought the game I'm also entitled to bitch when I don't like it"
To quote Dara O Briain.."My arse!"
You bought the game, from that all you're entitled to is to play it (as long as you abide by the ToS, and to end payment of your subscription whenever you choose.
No where when you bought it did Blizz say you had the right to abuse their staff, and to be honest, the fact that they allow it is a much bigger concern than anything Ghostcrawler has ever or will ever say to you, most businesses wouldn't just remove your forum rights, but would simply ban your account altogether.
Honestly, no one really cares if you've been playing for 5years and hate how the game is changing, paying them more money =/= more say in what goes on, ffs it's not scientology we're talking about.
It's been said before and clearly needs to be said again, if you don't like it, quit. Maybe if you all had a mass exodus Blizz would actually change the game, or maybe they'd sit back and laugh as you all went out and bought new accounts 2days later, im not sure really.
You bought the game, you have the right to a) play it, and b) quit, so do one or the other and gtfo the forums, if Blizz wanted your help they'd ask for it.

No. The travelling spell does not gain the benefit of the instant cast. I tried this out many times to see if i could cast lava burst, then flame shock in order to prevent priests/palas dispelling the dot. I could not :)
However if an instant cast spell efftect wears off a target while another spell is in flight then that spell Does gain the benefit from the instant cast effect
Nov 20th 2009 11:53AM It has clearly been far far two long since i've gone to Old Kingdom, but then again, can you realy blame me for avoiding it?
Having read down through the rest of the comments however I'll still stand by what i said "IF" and only if, Dred does in fact summon adds during the fight and is forced to fight himself and gets bitten
If not, *hopes Dred's giant dino brain remembers not to summon raptors cos he remembers how those noob party members of his made him wipe last time*, then the answer couldn't be more obvious, assuming we've all seen Godzilla the animated series in which they covered this exact fight and who won? You guessed it, the scaly guy, err well the scaly-er guy maybe? Dred wins! :)
Nov 19th 2009 5:17PM The way i see it this has gotta end up as a tie.
Dred munches down on the squid, who, after taking a battering, casts insanity, and forces dred to fight a clone of himself. The thing is however when you fight your clones in this, they have all the same abilities as you do, in this case being of course The King's Grievous Bite.
So let's say Dred tears into his clone, who then bites Dred causing him to bleed continuously until fully healed. With no healbot there to spam Holy Lights on him, Dred continues to take more and more damage, though he is now free once again to maul Volazj and quickly dispatches him, after being wounded so severely by his own abilities he too collapses to the ground, defeated.
Jul 14th 2009 4:29PM That...was....awesome....you sir have convinced me to continue playing my rogue alt lol
Is there any chance someone knows the addons / UI that krytical is using in the film? would very much appreicate it :)
Feb 5th 2009 7:43PM I've gotta go with the whole "hybrid" thought, personally i levelled my main (elemental shammy) with an irl friend who switched between prot and ret on his pally, we've done this same technique many times nd it always extremely fast
The idea of both classes having moderate heals meant there was literally no down time when we levelled, short of having to run to BE starter zone at lvl5 ^^
Granted we didnt do all that much instancing, mostly just ploughed our way through the zones at breakneck speed, but whenever we did take a break to instance possibly the most enjoyable thing was that as elemental and retri we could still quite easily heal and tank instances respectively, needing only to find dps and using this same method up to the nexus (my 3sec cast heals just became too slow at this point)
just my 2cents anyway and apologies for the wall of text, i tend to ramble on when im tired ^^
Feb 5th 2009 7:23AM As an elemental shaman im both delighted and slightly anxious about these changes, i mean less totems is always gonna be a welcome change, especially since my call of elements addon went funny aftr the latest patch so streamlining my totems is something im looking forward to.
But im pretty worried about changing chain lightning which is still one of my top damaging moves, i've finally caught up on damage since the patch, please god dont nerf me lol
Have to say im definitely in agreement with the idea of totem of wrath being baselined, even if we only were given the chance for an "improved form" maybe something like an extra 5% crit or some more bonus sp? Though an entirely new talent would be much appreciated Blizz ;)
