Dec 4th 2011 11:54PM It seems to me that the events leading up to Deathwing's demise argue for a perfect interpretation of him dying immediately after 4.3's launch. Every kill after that is a temporal variant, some reflection or split timeline that's emerged as a result of swiping the Dragon Soul from the far past. Each kill is no less necessary than the first, to prevent the timeline from realigning itself to restore Deathwing. (Why does End Time still exist after the first run? Echoes of these undefeated Deathwings.)
As far as 'crazy dude with a head'... one dead elf head probably looks a lot like any other. As far as YOU know, he's just a guy who stole a head from... somewhere. It's Kael'Thas, you swear? Well, I'm not personally in the habit of trusting guys with severed heads, so...
(I killed Hogger, though. Solo. No lie.)
Apr 7th 2011 2:32AM Make it so that if the rare mount drops for the tank/healer, it drops for all members of the party, and I'll heartily approve. Otherwise, I foresee a small uptick in tank/heal queuing, and all the others just getting extra (and semi-exclusive) rewards for the same effort.
Mar 16th 2011 8:36PM Speaking as someone who has earned every archaeology achievement and basically focused on doing it from day one just because it was a new mechanic - all of this was painfully obviously necessary on release. In a building full of programmers, there wasn't one person who was able to run a statistical analysis on archaeology data? I'm glad they're getting around to fixing archaeology, but they don't get a cookie for fixing obviously deficient content.
Next up: fixing the rare item cooldowns? (Seriously, "we were concerned about the impact on less powerful computers" is one of the worst excuses I've ever heard, given the low graphic impact of most of them.)
