Oct 14th 2009 1:30PM I hope he has a voice like XT-002's!
Not really... but how hilarious would that be?
Oct 10th 2009 4:45PM It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, so I'm going to have some turkey! Mmm. Also, my guild is going to try our first 10-man ToC run. Fingers crossed!
Oct 10th 2009 12:01PM I'm sorry. I didn't even read the article yet... I just had to say that the picture of David Bowie made me Squee like a 9 year old at a Jonas Brothers concert. OMGSOSEXY!! Thin White Duke, indeed.
Thank you. And now, on with the reading...
Oct 7th 2009 9:56PM Maybe this time I'll be lucky!
Sep 30th 2009 9:24PM Oh, I live in Canada! These look so amazing. Good luck to everyone *^_^*
Sep 30th 2009 9:17PM Awhile ago, on my home server of Anvilmar, I was playing my Tauren Druid in STV and I got the quest Mind's Eye. In it I had to kill Mai'Zoth, the ogre magi in the Mosh Ogg Ogre Mound. I had done a similar quest before when I was leveling my Gnome Mage... and I knew how hard it could be without a group due to the other two ogres that you aggro at the same time. I was a few levels over the recommended quest level, but I still felt better going as a group... but after a few LFGs in /1 I decided to go on in and try myself.
On my way in I came across a Night Elf Hunter making her way through the ogres, too. I /wave-d at her, and she /wave-d back. We took turns downing the ogres on the way to Mai'Zoth, and when we finally got to him I /point-ed at Mai'Zoth, then /point-ed at the the NE's pet and at herself, trying to tell her that she can go first. She attacked, and as her pet took down Mai'Zoth, we both took down the other two adds together.
She /thank-ed me and I /smile-d, and then we both sat and waited while Mai'Zoth rezzed. We /dance-d a bit etc until he finally respawned, and then we attacked again! The hunter accidently sent her pet in as I was casting, and so she got the first hit and got the loot -- which meant I couldn't complete my quest.
After the fight she was super apologetic and kept saying /sorry and /tap-ping for Mai'Zoth trying to tell me that she would wait again *^_^* I /thank-ed her like crazy, and we danced a bit more for five more minutes until Mai'Zoth finally returned. We downed him, I completed the quest and with a /bow we both fought our way out and went our separate ways to hand in our quests.
Through all of the anger towards the other faction, and the terrible and annoying things they can do... I love when little encounters like this happen. When we come together to finish a common goal. It has happened a few times to me, but this one sticks in my mind the most because we spent at least 20 minutes together -- most of it just waiting -- even though she had already completed her quest.
I wish I remembered her name or took a screenshot. My Druid's name is Aurofel, he's a male Tauren on Anvilmar, so if you are out there, NE Hunter stranger, I'd just wish to thank you again -- without emotes this time. Working together like that really made my day. This wasn't just something I did for someone else, it was more of something two "enemy" players did for each other. If anything, I am in more debt to her (or him, if she was played by a male).
Sorry that was so long! :P
Sep 17th 2009 3:41PM I've never used the in-game voice chat, but there are settings where you can make the overall game volume go down and the voice volume go up when people chat in it :)
Aug 25th 2009 4:05AM Thanks for the update :) I was wondering why Anvilmar (and a bunch) had gone down so soon.
Aug 18th 2009 12:52AM I'd like to know how you edit as a career if you are nearly blind.
I'm not trying to offend you, I just really am interested.
Also, I am neither a troll or 13 years old.
