Retribution DPS too low {WoW}

Mar 5th 2009 9:08AM 6k + judgment of the martyr / blood hits on an instant cast are ridiculous. That is comparable to the damage put out by spells with 2.5 second cast times. A 30 yard unmitigatable damage attack on a melee class is ridiculous.

Even with resilience ret paladins are taking players from 100 - 20% within a hammer of justice and instant cast hammer of wrathing them to death in the GCD directly afterwards.

Ret paladins are quite simply too cheap a class, take no skill to be successful with and do too much damage.

Not a lot of players are going to survive having a ret paladin near them, even plate wearers. Additionally, despite their whining about being kited, ret paladins are the hardest melee class to kite in the game with the exception of feral druids. The top mage in BG9 has confirmed this on the wow forums. The second last thing they need is any more 'utility'. The last thing being any more damage. The first thing being proper nerfs to their damage.

God hope you don't meet a paladin in world pvp because between bubble AND lay on hands, you are up against something which can practically instagib you if they get anywhere near you, yet which you must kill THREE times over.

It is absolutely ridiculous. Their damage needs to be LOWER. A LOT LOWER.

Ever since WoTLK came out paladins have gone from one of the least played classes to one of the most played classes. They are only marginally less played than death knights at 80. Their
population has absolutely soared. I would have to conclude that this is not because paladins are having any sort of trouble at all. We can see that classes who are known to be having trouble have had a declining population. Paladins popularity is far more likely caused by such things as what? 25% representation at the top of arenas as holy, constant topping of BG damage ladders as ret and generally being indestructible threshing machines.

Furthermore, I would go so far as to say that while ret paladins are ruining battlegrounds, when they respec holy for arena, their overpoweredness is responsible for most of the class imbalance you find in there, given their synergy with death knights.

Basically this game is a joke until paladins, especially ret, are nerfed properly.

Frankly add to this their constant whining and any request for buffs couldn't be any more vomit worthy.

So /puke. /puke on ridiculous pvp imbalance caused by paladins. /puke on the whiny ret paladins in this thread and /puke on this retarded article.

PTR quests show hard-mode progression, Ulduar storyline, Val'anyr {WoW}

Feb 28th 2009 2:33PM I hear continually repeating things which don't work is the best way to achieve any goal.

Patch 3.1 PTR Patch Notes update {WoW}

Feb 28th 2009 8:23AM Looks like they are holding back on a few things.

The two professions that are most complained about, engineering and tailoring haven't yet seen any significant additions.

A couple of classes which needed help (warriors and warlocks) have seen a bunch of nerfs when they really need some buffing to bring them into line.

And MOST IMPORTANTLY, the change that PvP being a complete joke or decent hinges on, nerfs to holy paladin survivability and ret paladin burst have not yet been implemented. I just wish they would hurry up and do it because this more than anything will prevent account unsubscriptions and even result in account renewals when implemented. BGs and arena are a joke until they do it, anyway.

[UPDATED] Arena Tournament has begun! {WoW}

Feb 26th 2009 7:58AM Judging by the continued use of a deathknight and a paladin in the advertisements for this tournament it is nice to see that Blizzard's stance on which classes are going to be competing in this tournament has not changed.

WoW Patch 3.1 PTR Paladin glyphs {WoW}

Feb 25th 2009 9:34AM What's all this if they specc'ed into ret they had no skill? Here's what you paladins fail to understand.

You STILL have no skill. People STILL lol at you. People STILL don't like you.

In fact, if I just came in here and called you retards you would be stuck thinking it was only me who thinks that. Which is why I bring up handy widely used terms referring to your class and including the word retard.

If anything, people mention that paladins take so little skill and hate you more than ever. Look around, does it LOOK like people are taking 30% high level arena representation from a bunch of keyboard turning mouth breathers lying down?

Retardin, nobody likes you. STILL.

WoW Patch 3.1 PTR Paladin glyphs {WoW}

Feb 25th 2009 6:13AM Not sure why paladins are the only class who, already having one emergency button, needs another one that heals them to full health. Not only that, but apparently they need that emergency button even more of the time than before.

Sorry but the only conclusion that I can come to is that people who play paladins aren't very bright and that labels such as retardin are well deserved indeed.

The Colosseum: Meetsi of Auchindoun {WoW}

Feb 22nd 2009 3:10AM LOL.. okay.

So to sum up, some FOTM reroller used to play a druid, now plays a holy paladin and according to them arena is apparently less about class than it has ever been?

It will be balanced at 80. No wait I mean with resilience. No wait I mean with more resilience.

Insightful and interesting. Not that I could have read similar things from any scrub paladin in the 1600s on the WoW PvP forums.

Are Paladins going to get nerfed? {WoW}

Feb 19th 2009 10:15AM Paladins are lol'ed and and spit at now. You're lol'ed at because you are a no skill class and you are spit at because you are OP and think you know how to play then whine about being underpowered.

/lol /spit

As for this lolret stuff, warlocks are pretty crap in PvP right now and are they lol'ed and spit at? Are warlocks more commonly known as locktards?

No. They aren't. Because people know there isn't a retarded player behind the keyboard it's just their class that is gimp.

In the case of ret paladins, and that's obviously what we're talking about because they are the only paladins who have ever had a bad reputation, it was as true then as it is now that you are retardins.

I remember an adhoc poll recently on the WoW forums, which class / spec do you hate the most... pretty much a toss up between human and blood elf paladins.

Not hard to see why imo.

Are Paladins going to get nerfed? {WoW}

Feb 19th 2009 6:12AM Considering the reason I unsubscribed from the game is because of paladins being overpowered, I should hope they will.

It's not like paladins really really blatantly obviously deserve nerfs or anything because of the following patently obvious reasons:

1) FAIRNESS: Paladins are overpowered. Therefore they should be nerfed. Pretty tired of grossly imbalanced arena representation and seeing the same no-skill class at the top of BG ladders over and over again.
2) KARMA: Paladins have consistently whined that they are going downhill or are underpowered while they have been grossly overpowered. All that 'it will be balanced at 80' , 'it will be balanced with resilience' misinformation all over the forums for the past few months originated from ret paladins. It's sickening.

Paladins are like the welfare kings of WoW they whine for handouts that much irrespective of how little they need it.

Paladins are not the only class in the game, although with their population skyrocketing due to people being more or less forced to roll them it could end up that way.

I unsubscribed from WoW when I saw how weak the 'nerfs' were to paladins in 3.0.8 and the moment they mention a proper nerf to paladins, like the one arcane mages got (far far less deservedly - even though their nerf was deserved), I would renew my subscription within around two minutes.

Arena tournament registration now open {WoW}

Feb 18th 2009 6:17AM Apt that the advertisement depicts a ret paladin and a death knight fighting one another isn't it?

I love PvP but I'll be sitting this zero skillfest out. Blizzard really should have balanced the classes before beginning a tournament like this.

I'll sign up for the tournament the minute after I see ret paladin nerfs announced. In fact, I guess I should say five minutes afterwards considering I would renew my subscription to the game first.
