Jan 23rd 2012 2:38AM They are werewolves ... the light of the new moon is when they are in control of themselves aka as far away from the fullmoon as possible.
Feb 18th 2011 5:32AM You know there is a place where you can bring 10 melee to the table if you want ... its called 25 man raiding. The problem is you have cut your old 25 man and taken all the melee with you and none of your ranged. Tactical forecast your up some kind of creek with out a paddle. The real question is why did YOU abandon your 15 other friends.
Oct 8th 2010 6:02PM The best thing you can do to deal with ninjas is promote people to make sure the loot rules are stated in full in game chat before the loot starts dropping. If the rules are stated in game chat blizzard can and will take action if something is ninjaed. If they talk on vent type it out yourself and have the loot master or raid leader say Yes (your name) so they can be lazy. Ive started doing it every PuG raid and no ninja problems because the loot rules are clear for one. If they dont do it dont do the run because you know your running with a ninja before you start. With this information you can promote how to stop ninjas to ninja-ies not the ninja-ers so those people will listen.
If your worried about 5 man loot being ninjaed then you might be pushing a little too hard because blizzard has already stepped in fairly hard as they can with the forced no need unless you can use it.
Sep 9th 2010 5:42PM Tunneling is actually against the ToS lasted I checked. My ISP use to actually offer it from their servers to blizzards ones how ever they made sure to have a big disclaimer about it. Something in some clause about altering the behavior of data packets. You have to alter the packet to get it to tunnel (think of it like altering a sat nav to make sure it tells your cars to take the path you want it too.).
Sep 2nd 2010 4:37AM Maybe now you can realize why they dont get so much done. At least now they are tweeting something semi useful. On a more serious note I do hope this is something of a joke for the waste of time it will be.
Jun 4th 2010 6:27PM Ulduar was Wraths Kara but the problem is they made it useless because of the badge system. If they had been able to keep Ulduar useful (hardmodes helped but not quite enough).
May 29th 2010 6:46PM Personally I find as a tank the first min of a fight rather than grabbing some armor (helping the healers) as a warrior, get yourself some rage for your pull. This will help your DPS be be able to open up quicker if something goes slightly wrong on the pull. Being able to establish aggro solidly if you dodge block or parry the first boss swing is important because any great Pugger knows that there is always "that" guy that will open up with his/her biggest spell first because he wants his DPS numbers to look good. Similar to the front end taunt pull it just enables your DPS to go harder sooner.
Also another great tip to improve your tanking is throw yourself in to a PuG the worse the PuG the more you will need to know to tank it successfully, hopefully it speeds the learning of what abilities to use when. For example warrior tanks remembering vigilance refreshes your taunt on a hit, all those times you miss a boss taunt throw vig on your friendly tank and get as many taunts as you like till he is immune or you have aggro
May 7th 2010 4:20AM I suspect strongly that the Shadow priest issue comes from the fact their main filler spell is not spam able. That is to say seeing as its a channeled spell you must push the button once at the perfect time to recast it for max DPS. Having run an affliction lock and a shadow priest. They play very similar accept for this one significant factor. Dot up spam filler, how ever when casting a filler shadow bolt I can spam the key to set it off. When casting a filler mind flay I need to time the recast perfectly with my latency to not drop off DPS. Seeing as when you take the top section of DPS shadow priests do much better compared to other specs, it seems to support that shadow priests just take more skill/luck to do what they are theoretically able to do. Sadly I dont think blizzard will up shadow priest DPS because its harder to put out your top DPS because otherwise people who are able to do it will go sky high ... like rogues on average DPS.
Apr 30th 2010 9:27PM Firstly Torr I do have 2 80 healers that I raid heal. The mana burn would not be blanked same burn for every spell and every class. The amount would not need to be massive to make a significant impact, the idea is to hurt spamming a big heal over and over or a quick heal over and over.
It would actually balance out the need for regen stats and power stats, making your experiments with different gems actually worth it for your play style rather than now days where you just goggle class, spec and gemming, get a return with what is the best gem and why. Would clearly meet blizzards desire to not have people spam one spell over and over.
Uncareingbear mana amounts are being tweaked to reduce the max so mana consumption becomes an issue. The issue I see with this is that it will be a very thin line which healers will over gear as they start to get things to farm status. The idea of the mana burn back for over healing would make healing interesting when things are on farm status. It would enable blizzard to tweak a variable to be able to better give a suitable mana range that good healers could work with, where a bad healers would fail. So when stats get out of control again in cata they can tweak something other than your gear to keep the game a challenge. The number one comment on over healing in raid leader forums is dont worry to much about over healing unless healers are running out of mana or people are dieing due to focusing on the wrong target.
Styvorama how would it work... Well druids being the hot class would have a different mana burn amount to other classes for one. Two it would change how encounters are raid healed no longer would it be hot everyone up. Three it would likely improve your skills and management of mana, which blizzard is already going to implement via limiting your mana pool in the first place. As far as your other comments there are many DPS specs where if you miss 1 attack you will have a significant drop in your DPS because of your rotation. Tanks already have facing drops dodge block and parry off the targets to hit chance. So in short they are already in the game in one form or another.
Apr 29th 2010 4:56PM The most powerful and simple solution I can think of to actually enable blizzards use the right spell for the right job is to make over heals hurt. Then I thought of better way than limiting max mana or mana regen to significantly. That was Mana burn for over healing. Each class would have to have different amounts of burn for their over heals or even just an exponential amount of burn back for amount over healed. Would turn the healing game rather than a get someone to max life its get someone as close to max life as possible with out going over.
In turn this would force people to actually focus on how much heath someone has and how much your healing does. There would need to be something in the mechanics to cover crit over healing even crits dont cause back burn. This would enable holy paladins to maintain their high crit main tank healing roll.
