Aug 10th 2009 12:25PM I've actually used a hand powered elevator, albeit one that only went up one story. With a proper counterweight to balance the weight of the main platform, it's not difficult to hoist a considerable weight by hand - the elevator I was familiar with was originally used to haul horses or other large animals upstairs in a vet hospital. And Tauren are known for their strength.

Of course, the elevators in WoW are pretty high - I'd expect there to be some significant frictional resistance.

Feb 10th 2009 10:17AM My Drae DK rides an elekk both because most zones are awash with DKs (and therefore Deathchargers) and because in rp terms DKs are not well liked or trusted by the larger population, and the elekk takes away one reason for people to instinctively react negatively.

For similar reasons she wears a ratty old lowbie robe in cities instead of plate, and takes off the runeweapons.
