Debunking the "WoW is better for online dating than dating sites" story {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2012 6:23PM Didn't they find that dating sites don't work that well in general anyway?

Mar 21st 2012 5:47PM I'm sick of hearing that they want more people out in the world. The change with MoP flying- I'm OK with that. It will help. But both to blizz and the people who complain that when they do go out there is no one else there. My feeling is that if you have to FORCE people to go out in the world, not that many people actually want to do it.

Scroll of Resurrection revamp active, includes free level 80 character {WoW}

Mar 6th 2012 4:55PM You're not the only one. I've been playing nonstop since BC and I only suspended my scrip for about a month when I was homeless (sort of), so I'd like some recognition there darnit.

That said, I'm already thinking "OK who do I know who hasn't played for a while..." and calling dibs XD

Lichborne: 5 common death knight mistakes {WoW}

Feb 2nd 2012 4:32AM As a tank, I appreciate when a DPS DK does this, but of course your mileage may vary. Not every tank is adept at getting the add picked up right away once it's in the group, and some people get annoyed by that. I love it.

I don't like having a mob DG'd behind me, though, while I'm starting a pull.

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: "Transsexual" being filtered, some words coming off filter list {WoW}

Jan 25th 2012 4:16AM Are they also going to fix that filter always-on bug? I'm sick of having to turn it of every time I log on -_-

Also, I definitely reported that there were some words that shouldn't be blocked. I think some of the blocked words are funny. Like 'meth'

Jan 9th 2012 5:11PM I don't think this is something that Blizzard has addressed at this point, but I would hope that they give us a free re-customization when they re-do the models. Finally.

That said, they may not feel the need to if they do what was mentioned earlier in the comments, and leave the faces largely the same, but with more polygons/expression/whatever. I'm not actually super in favor of that, but Blizzard has stated that they are worried that there will be backlash if they change the faces that people have been using for years, so I wouldn't be surprised if that is the route they go.

If it is, though, they had sure as shit better be adding some nice all-new faces for me to use, because there are certain races who I won't name with only 1 acceptable face of the lot, and I'm sick of having it on ALL my characters.

Jan 9th 2012 5:02PM Since it only costs 10 gold and is reversible for another 10 gold, I would say go ahead and lock your XP at 60, look around for a guild, and see if your server actually has one. Not all servers do, and I have noticed that the level 60 classic raiding guilds also tend to be a bit short-lived, at least on my server, probably because they get bored. I don't see many 60-locked toons stay locked there. If you find the guild you want and find that you don't like the raiding experience- go ahead and unlock your XP again, get to 70, and see if that's any better.

There are a couple 70-locked toons on my server who have managed to stay it out, but no actual guilds- those people tend to run with whatever pug group is happening that day, 85s and all.

Transmogrifying your way into the Stormwind Guard {WoW}

Jan 5th 2012 7:05PM I saw a blood elf done up in this outfit the other day- complete with customized guild tabard that looked almost exactly like the alliance tabard.

Pretty awesome.

Profiting off the Darkmoon Faire {WoW}

Jan 2nd 2012 10:30PM As of last week only people with the guide have been able to roll on the items in dungeon groups I've been in.

The Queue: Big bugs {WoW}

Jan 1st 2012 1:31AM This.

Also, they can't just detect if you have that tier- you could have the tier for your other spec, but you are raiding in a spec that still needs that tier, so you're not *wearing* it, and therefore you miss out on an upgrade for the spec you're playing just because you have the piece for another thing.

Or worse they figure out a way to know if you're actually wearing the piece and people can just bypass it by not wearing the piece.

It does suck for pure DPS classes that only get 1 tier piece as it is, but Blizz really shouldn't make it any harder to gear up offspecs than it already is with everyone rolling on stuff, and on top of that I can't think of any fair way to do it that doesn't screw people who are actually PLAYING their offspec role to try and get the gear.
