In LFR, missing one button press is not fatal. It's healable. If a lot of people are doing it, obviously that's a different story, but I've missed the button press and lived just fine even without personal defensive cooldowns, and I'm just a mage.

Dec 30th 2011 5:40PM In your particular case, I should point out that fire takes a lot of practice to get right. It's a LOT more complicated than arcane and I find that I need at least a week of consistent play to get back up to the same level of mastery I have with other specs.
I think sometimes you can be bad at a particular spec, but be OK at the class, but for the most part the specs aren't *so* different among the same class role (Obviously tanking/healing/dps are going to be different) that you can just outright suck at one aspect of it. Usually it's just about practice.

Dec 30th 2011 4:15PM Everything I've heard indicates that EVERYONE should be pressing the button on LFR. A tank doesn't need to stay out, and as far as I know, she's busy casting so she won't start whaling on the melee if the tank hits it a little earlier than everyone else.

That said, no matter what Blizz says about getting people out in the world, I am not a fan of the world boss style of daily.

Dec 28th 2011 12:34PM Definitely you won't be able to fly until max level. If they do what they did in Wrath, then a couple patches in they will ease the restriction for your alts, but they were quite firm about not letting you fly in MoP zones until max level.

Dec 28th 2011 12:33PM Even if your analogy was correct, which it isn't, it's not like Blizzard isn't giving us more of other stuff to make up for the fact that they aren't doing those dynamic boss encounters anymore/at the moment. If they start designing ALL encounters like that, it's a ton more work, and that means we end up losing out elsewhere. It's just the way things work.
When Blizz makes design decisions like this, they aren't doing it because they're lazy or they don't want us to have something; the simple fact of the matter is that they have to make choices and they're not able to give us everything. Getting one thing usually means we have to sacrifice something else.
