Oct 25th 2011 1:04PM @fudge Actually, though initially extremely rash and hot headed, part of that is with Varian trying to come to grips with his Lo'gosh persona. The worgen trial he undertook set him on the right path, but he's still struggling between his need to keep the peace internally and the drive to squash any threats externally. He's a good king at heart, intensely devoted to protecting and leading his people, and honorable enough to admit when he's been thickheaded and rash, but Blizzard has been screwing him over by putting all this character development in books rather than the game. I recommend reading the "The Blood of Our Fathers" short story on the main WoW website to get an idea of how Varian truly is.
Feb 2nd 2011 8:31PM If anything, they could have bumped up the mana cost. Ferals would then need to be more careful about shapeshifting, and wouldn't want to spam it to get rid of the snares.
As the change is now, the poor critters are FUBAR.
Jan 19th 2011 7:33PM Has this been verified that it's actually Blizzard? I haven't been able to find any word of a C&D(only sites jumping to conclusions), only that his youtube vids were yanked. There was some earlier discussion on whether it was a copyright troll.
Until Ryan tells us exactly if Blizzard is involved or not, I'd keep the justifications/legal discussion down.
Dec 6th 2010 4:59PM Destruction imminent.
Nov 23rd 2010 1:29PM Given that the world we've known and loved for the past 6 years is SHATTERING, I think I'll give Blizzard some slack on this one. I'm sure it's just a case of Deathwing getting last minute jitters.
Jul 19th 2010 2:36PM As per Ghostcrawler:
"If I had to guess, Omen of Clarity will be a trained ability. It's too useful to different kinds of druids. Even if you put it shallow in Resto, Feral wouldn't be able to benefit from it until very high level.
But we'll see...."
Jun 3rd 2010 3:42PM Blizzard to runs BlizzCon at a financial loss, they don't make money off of it (see the 2009 AGDC keynote). What they DO get is increased community goodwill and uninterrupted focus on their products alone(no need for E3). So no,
And this is a 2 day convention. $150 is CHEAP compared to the professional quality and swag you get for attending. How many high demand conventions or concerts have you actually been to? BlizzCon is actually VERY reasonable as long as you aren't working off an allowance or extremely tight budget, in which you're not paying much for entertainment anyway.
May 20th 2010 5:28PM It's new to our team too, but I guess for us it's just back to using smoke flares and stones.
Apr 15th 2010 7:35PM I'm guessing you weren't there for the BlizzCon ticket sales the year before the queue was implemented. It was chaos. It's not artificial inflation. It's server load management. Their payment system can only handle a certain amount of transactions at once before the wheels come off. That queue is there so the entire store doesn't crash and burn, losing ALL transactions.
Also, the queue time estimate is a generous estimate. You'll probably get there a lot faster. So relax, your nerdrage should be saved for other purposes, like Tuesday maintenance. ;-)
